In the US, technically college is an institute that offers only associates or bachelor’s degrees, and a university would offer those degrees and also masters and doctorates.

Years ago I interned somewhere (that I can't name) that interviewed celebrities. Most of their agents sent us an email ahead of time with topics we weren't allowed to mention. And then we'd send back a rough cut of the video and they'd tell us if there was anything we should cut out. The "forbidden topics" usually gave us more tea than we got in the interview lmao

There is a difference here as well. You can't get a four year degree at community college. Only an associate or a certification.
