    Oba of Benin, is an Oba over Benin people and Bini land, and that's where it ends. Edo state is not an ethnic nation. Edo State is a colonial administrative structure. That's it.

    At least they are learning from your episodes on Igbanke so far.

    There’s is notin like oligie or enogie in igbanke, it has always been OBI but due to political favoritism in the benin palace to suite the narratives they decided to remove the name OBI and replace it with Enogie & Oligie, same way they’re trying to forcefully blend into the benin structure by bearing benin names, today you hear an igbanke man say his name is Osaro, osakpolor, osasu, but in reality he doesn’t even understand a single word in benin language. Shame on you all. Before you come for me don’t forget I’m an IKA man.

    • @imarhiaekara7126

      I am from Benin and want to learn more about Igbanke. Which narrative do they want to favour that they "hide the real history"? And I notice that usiagwu can't pronounce the word oligie well. That already makes me to believe that the igbanke people are definitely not Benin people. But tell me more because even me that is from Benin I am tired of this lie this one came from Benin that came from Benin.

    • @markkelvin5167
      @markkelvin5167 Рік тому

      @@imarhiaekara7126 I’m an ika (Agbor) man born and breed in benin city, i even speak benin language more than my own tribe ika or central igbo and I can say for a fact that igbanke has no affiliation to benin or edo, the reason why igbanke is in edo state as at today is because of the ex governor ogbemudia, ogbemudia carved igbanke into edo state because that’s his maternal home and he thought it would be more favorable to igbanke if they’re in edo state and he can also use his influence to draw development into igbanke land. Ordinarily igbanke is ika, this was the same way Asaba became the capital city of delta state all thanks to maryam babangida who used her influence as the wife of the then head of state to favor her people (asaba) as the capital city of delta state. So the igbankes have been trying to blend into the benin political system by all means so as to gain political powers in edo state but to no avail, imagine going to the benin oba place and identify yourself as Obi of igbanke edos state, it doesn’t sound well so that’s why he changed it to Enogie instead of obi and now they’re trying so hard to bear benin names when in reality they don’t even know the meaning of larè, obokhian or Dormo epa.

    Long long ago, Ibos lived West of the Niger river with everyone else. Spearheaded by the Binis who have had an insane abhorrence for cannibalism, a proclamation was made prohibiting the practice i.e. cannibalism. Many tribes refused to give up the practice of cannibalism and so were chased out with ferocity. Most of these tribes were chase into the Congo region but a few of them did not go as far. They were banished to the empty forest East of the Niger. These are the Ibos of today and that is why they remained isolated in that forest for most of their existence.
