The movie lived up to the hype. Saw it in the theater, and came in with very low expectations, and came out beyond excited and happy with what they done.
I have to agree. I am going to have to watch it again just to see what Easter eggs I missed the first time. Lol
Yes, it is a black dragon. If you watched it was belching acid all over everything. And they are a "band of thieves" in the same way that the characters from the series Leverage are.
The group seems to consist of : bard, sorceror, paladin, barbarian, druid
This is specifically forgotten realms btw.. so we will get to see neverewinter and the spine of the world.. am wondering if set we will get to see orcs, bugbears, drow, druegar and menzoberrazan maybe?
got the orc!
I understand the desire for everything to "make sense" but you also have to remember that this movie isn't only aimed at D&D players. It's also meant to introduce people who aren't necessarily familiar with D&D to, well, D&D... If they made a movie that, essentially, left no questions, it would have to be 6 hours long and be in documentary format.
Hopefully, the movie does well enough where they can franchise it (a little bit) and flesh out more of the intricacies.
Excellent, thoughtful comment and great observation! You’re correct. It is also about introducing those not as familiar or not at all. Thanks for this!
I like the lute-playing reference. When I played D&D, ages ago, we used to love this one particular character who was an NPC and he would walk through the dungeon playing a big bass fiddle going thoom, thoom, thoom, thoom up and down the musical scale to alert every single critter in the place that there was somebody new there! He was hysterical! 😂
Comes out March 3rd in Canada. As for the US March 10 at South by Southwest and March 31 in theatres.
I am looking forward to it.
Funny, a new trailer just dropped yesterday.
Can’t wait…hot stuff
Have you guys seen the movie yet? It’s great!
Our plans are to go see it as a dnd group this Thursday.

@@criticalhitsbadmisses Awesome! Can’t wait to see your review of it
I've been seeing trailers for "Honor Among Thieves" for several months now.
Yeah, we initially started recording several months ago but an issue kept us from being able to officially start releasing for a while. We finally got over that hurdle and this was one of the previous ones we decided to keep. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comments!

If done well, does anyone think they will touch Dragonlance? Rastlin could run a whole series. I do understand and respect if they never touch it through.
I think it would be really interesting to see. I for one would enjoy seeing it.
Hey guys! Great review vid. My one concern, actually two, one is I don't care for Chris Pine as an actor, and two, why in the hell do you you dive into a Gelatinous Cube, on purpose! I'm curious if they will even show any acid damage in the movie. It might be out of context a bit, will have to wait and see. Awesome!
That’s hilarious!! Thanks for hanging out with us Scott and leaving such a great comment! Bo and I just discussed you the other day and the gaming we did in the Morley house!
Another thought, why is it in any fantasy movies or period movies with famous main characters costumes look like they are from Jim Morrison's Good Will store. BUT all the extras look awesome in their costumes.
