Good catch bro! Like you, Im starting to see defects more and more in brand new engines lately. Not every time but enough to say quality control is really lacking across alot of manufacturers. Hope your replacement is top notch👍🏾👍🏾
It happened to me once with a brand new OS 21 VG. The connecting rod was cracked, if i started that thing it would destroy everything else. This pre run inspection is crucial!

Ce serait probablement devenu une grosse prise de tête impossible à régler... c'est bien dommage, ca fait des procédures de retour et de l'attente supplémentaire. Je ne m'atttendais pas à ca d'un picco!
It does not matter how good your factory is you will produce a product with a fault I have had so with Novarossi I have seen swarf in the packet of a new OS engine.

Le 521 a une architecture très similaire mais le picco est plus travaillé avec des contrepoids sur le vilebrequin, un timing plus élevé. Le 521 est l'entrée de gamme de la marque après tout.
@@TastyBRC most definitely... I have a question about my os B21 bro so I only got it not long ago from a racer it has did about 5 liters of fule and was running perfectly until yesterday it killed 2 new turbo plugs and the tune was good what could cause this bro?
That sucks… PICCO are usually really good quality engines. Pretty sure if you wouldn’t have noticed it that crack it would have gotten a lot worse and would have been almost impossible to tune. Good catch !!!
Could you please make a video of swaping parts beween hpi t3.0, g3.0 and LRP .18 pro spec 2, would be interesting to see what is compatible and not, and useful for hpi rs4 3evo+ owners cause there is basically only one engine for hpi rs4 3evo+ the t3.0 and its crappy.
This is sad but Picco Europe responded well, they sent a new one very quickly. And to be honest I have a lot of piccos and never had an issue but not matter the brand I always disassemble the engine and check every single detail!
Its sad to see this these manufacturers have no excuse its not like it was 20 years ago there not pumping out thousands nd thousands of engines cuz the sales are not like they use to be

Piccos are really good engines, i have 6 or 7 piccos and those are flawless, probablly the one in a million defective picco!!
