@@hayliestory Thank you!! What rides would you recommend I ride first? I'm getting there early in the morning and I'm going to be there for about 9 or 10 hours
@@issy.cureton My go to ride to conquer first is the Magnum XL 200. Helps me get the nerves out for the big drops in the other coasters. Another good starter (if you don’t get motion sickness) is the MaxAir. That one is so much fun. Some others I personally feel are must do’s are: Gatekeeper Millennium Gemini Maverick (if it doesn’t break down or have a super long wait.) Hope this helps. Let me know what rides you enjoyed most 😊
@@hayliestory thanks so much!! I definitely wanna go on the millenium and my friend's favorite ride is the gatekeeper so we will be going on those. I've definitely been trying to figure out a good ride thats pretty scary but also a good stairstep to the millenium. Thus helps a lot!! Thank you!!
Hey thanks for tips I just moved to Zanesville, Ohio I don't know anyone or things to do here in Ohio. I now definitely going to put cedar point on the list
Welcome to the Buckeye State. There is much to do and so many wonderful creators who can help you find cool experiences. When you check out Cedar Point you’ll have to let me know what your favorite ride is 💚
Once you went back and noted about the millennium force fann/cross bag, is when i liked the video because i always wear cross bags so thank you for that❤️
@@hayliestory I might not go on a coaster bc I'm scared of coasters lol but I do like the pirate ship ride whatever it's called (I saw it from a tour on yt)
This is true, it is a farther drive. Personally for me, I feel like it’s easier to get into the flow of traffic from the back than it is wedging my way through the masses but it comes down to personal preferences 😊
That is a fair point. I have yet to see Cedar Point come out with rules stating the lot is exclusive to the water park especially since people can park there if they just want to visit the boardwalk. Another option is to park downtown Sandusky and ride the Jet Express over to the park. Only downside is you can’t come and go freely like you would having a car. For me, I park in the back to reduce the stress of fighting my way through the masses at the end of the day. But others really love parking in the front and getting the grand greeting of Gatekeeper at the main entrance; it really is a fun experience. It’s all personal preference.
Luckily the lot is quite large due to it needing to accommodate many people visiting for various reasons (the park, water park, camp grounds, Boardwalk, hotel, etc.). I have even seen Cedar Point shut it down for a summer concert festival. Which could be viewed from the Gemini and my friend and I kept riding the coaster to view the show 😂 Just sharing perspective that while it is conveniently located by the water park it can be accessed for guests who are visiting for the many experiences Cedar Point has to offer.
1:53 what day did you go when the Blue Train wasn't working? I was there on May 30th and I was in line for Gemini and half way through something happened to a hose or something on Blue, so they just opened it up for Red only. Then the next day the Blue was working again.
I believe we were there on a Friday; May 21. I feel like blue is always having trouble. There have been many times it’s been stuck or shut down while I was visiting the park.
There is a different entrance farther down exclusive to resort guests however the one we went through is across the street from the beach entrance and can be accessed by parking near the water park. I’ve used this entrance most of my adult life. I admit that Cedar Point does change rules and the entrance may become unavailable but for this particular day we went I had no issue. 😊
Decent tips but you broke the worst rule when it comes to Cedar Point, which is walking clear across the park several times to ride. Always ride the rides in groups so you only have to make one lap. Cedar point is massive, you’re only slowing yourself down and tiring yourself out going constantly from front to back of the park.
That’s a fair point. Everyone has their own pace and style. The day we went seemed like our plan to cluster rides kept failing because one would be down or have a wait we weren’t willing to stand in. But there are days where that is not an issue :)
I finally found you!! We met there and you gave me your card and I lost it! I kept spelling your name completely wrong! 🥴 But I’m glad I found you! Lol this video was awesome and informative!
@@hayliestory fortunately only about 5 or 10mins max. Fortunately it after after the ride was basically over and not just starting up the hill. I would have been like EFF THIS RIDE I WANT OFF IT BROKEN AF 😆
Another way to avoid paying for lockers is to wear cargo shorts. The zippered pockets will secure your phone, wallet, etc without worrying of them falling out. This could go for any of the other rides, because I don’t trust putting my belongings in the bins anyone can steal them
Agree, except Steel Vengence requires lockers for large things, and has free small lockers inside gate que for wallets, phones, keys- then a metal detector and check point- do not try to take anything on SV - they will send you back to lockers
I worked at Cedar Point this year so I will say this. You are allowed to film and Volg around the park but you cannot have your phone out or record anything while you are riding the rides. The only two rides you can have your phone out or record is the train and sky ride. Because there are no phones or photography on the rides at Cedar Point our safety speils before each ride tells you that you cannot record the ride and your phones have to be away. If a guest then still has it out we will go up to the guest and tell them to put it away and if they still dont listen we tell them to either put it away or they have to leave the ride. The reason we ask them to leave if they wont put it away is because having your phone out is also a safety issue because if you lose your phone while riding it could hit another guest.
Did you have early entry to go through the magnum gate? I heard that they were only allowing early entry people in through there this year? But I may be wrong
We did not have early entry. Only a season pass and a regular ticket. I have not heard that myself; but it may have changed since I went. I’ve used this entrance for many years.
It is allowed on most the rides. The rides that don't allow it often have a bin you can place your belongings in. Millennium Force is the only coaster I know of that does not have a bin to stash your belongings if they are too large to fit with you in your seat. Unfortunately I have not been on the Dragster or Valraven to confirm what their requirements are but I would imagine it is similar to Millennium Force. I hope this helps :)
Honestly, it felt like a normal Cedar Point day. Didn’t have to wear a mask being vaccinated. I filmed this video on a Friday during activity day for many surrounding schools so the lines were average to me. About 30-60 minute waits depending on the ride. I was satisfied with the day though. We got to ride everything we intended to. I would suggest downloading their app so you can view wait times throughout the day; it was super helpful. Hope this video helped for your trip on the 17th.
hey haylie i'm going to cedar point on august 20th and wanted to know i'm buying the fast lane plus because i am coming from maryland and wanted to know can i bring my paper since i'm doing it online and bring it to soak city side or do i have to bring it to the main gate to get the wristband ??? btw your really cute
Ooo, I'm not too sure how fast lane plus works. I do know you can connect your ticket to the Cedar Point app; I'd imagine you can do that for the fast lane pass as well. Printing it off and having it as a back up as well as a screen shot of your confirmation isn't a bad idea :) I hope this helps.
