- I'm really just putting myself out there lately, huh?! Welcome to PART 2 of a new basement series! Today we are continuing to work on a MASSIVE declutter! I have gotten rid of so much stuff
In this new series we are heading down to our basement! We have plans to create home-gym, home office, AND studio apartment space for guests! Things escalated quickly when we decided to rip up the sticky, glued down, laminate plank floor tiles. We were full steam ahead and moved everything from the office into the living room and everything from the guest room to the living room. We then realized that the floor was NOT budging! The only spots that came up were the places that it was bubbling up already. The project was put on hold, but now that we have guests coming this week, I need to find the bed! Come along as we create a studio apartment, home gym, home office, and seasonal decor storage room!

You are getting there, one day at a time
I recently found your channel and subscribed. I watched your series on the garage. It turned out great but I have to be honest with you, I don’t know how long I will be able to stick with your channel, as much as I want to. I was absolutely crazy at the number of times that you touched the same items and moved them from one spot to another. I know your home is real life and do understand that the amount of stuff can be overwhelming. Here’s an organizing tip that I saw on HGTV years ago.
Take three tarps, lay them out on the ground. Mark them keep, donate and trash. Then remove everything from the space placing it on one of the tarps. You can then thoroughly clean the space and get it ready to reload and organize into the space. You can immediately get rid of the trash and donate items. Tip: the keep tarp must hold all of the keep items.
Yup...same. She has too much stuff for her home...shuffling won't work.

I have some of the MRE meals in my pantry. I keep hoping they will expire. I’m not eating them. I’m not sure why my husband bought them. We have some mint ice cream sandwiches in on packet. Wow, you got a lot accomplished. Our office / junk room is the same way. We just don’t have room for all the stuff that’s in that room. I have taken it all out and dusted and cleaned the room. But we have to put it all back in because we have nowhere else in the house to put it. So it stays a mess.

I keep some mats. However, I’ve found that it’s best to get new mats for each holiday/season. They are fresh and welcoming. The FL heat fades everything. Good friends want to see you; they don’t care about messes.
