Seemingly James Billington, the hangman, caused a fuss by claiming that Cream's final words on the scaffold were "I am Jack The ... arghhhh!! " An impossible claim since Cream was in prison at the time of the Ripper murders.

That's right. All a ruse to get his name in the papers I think.

What a well told account of this horrible man's crimes.
I suspect the motive he had was one of a need for power and control and killing women fulfilled this need. He was also convinced of his own invulnerability and that he would never be convicted of the crimes which might indicate narcissism?
