It is the exact same material as the actual CS 50 course. The only difference is the class at Harvard has a ton of opportunities. I'm a current Harvard freshmen, and I'm taking it on CS50x instead of during fall semester because the opportunities aren't as great during COVID.

@@chandanmishra7436 Personally, from week 0-8 doing all the "less" and "more" problem sets, approximately 2 weeks (like +-7 hours per day including weekends). I'm still completing pset 9 and haven't done the final project, but if you plan doing all the assignments, including the morre challenging ones, it takes a lot of time, but if you just want a pass you can cut the time by approximately half. Edit: Also I'm not a native English speaker, and that probably slowed me down a litle, even though I'm near fluent.

I learn HTML, CSS, JS => but I've just finished lecture 0 about the binary system. It was an amazing explanation by David how actually computer works and why at the end of the day we have got these millions... n of "switches" 0 or 1 behind the the numbers, colors, img, video etc. Great adventure. Now I would like to move on with this course but I am a bit afraid to learn another language like C, python because I have chosen JavaScript - I know that fundamentals are the same but just I don't want to mix all of these information (syntax). C is a language a bit more low level and i think if you learn more about C you will learn more about your own main programming language, things like how a printf Works etc.
I can tell you one thing. If you managed to learn c and c++ you can literally learn any programming languages within a week. Because almost all of the programming languages are same. but you should know few low level languages so that you will get to know whats actually happening behind the scenes. C and C++ are powerful languages are many things are built on it. If you want to get into hardware performance programming you should be best friends with c++

I've been learning coding from CS50 (though I have no prior experience in it) from the past 2 weeks, the conceptual videos and lecture videos by David. J. Malan are great but when it comes to solving the problem sets, I feel it's very difficult for a beginner like me. Did you solve the problem sets too? I am a beginner too and I will suggest you to do some basic exercises before starting the problem set. w3resource is the site I use to do some basic exercises and then moving towards the problem sets and believe me it helps.
I think, you must had went through those lectures very leisurely because I went through the lectures at 0.75 speed with maximum attention, so I found the less comfortable psets very very simple.
yeah i learned a lot from it, but to pass in Data structures in college exams and tech interviews and competitive programming , you have to learn exclusively, as in python and starting week of C, they gave training wheels like cs50 library, but course is good

Just build algorithm for the appropriate pset (problem set) / Lab, thus by following the guidlines of Edx allows you to gain a remarkable grade. In case if you were pondering, these assignments derive marka which would be deterministic for your certficate( > 70% per each assignment )

Yes and no. CS50 is meant for beginners. The professor mentions that the course is gonna be like drinking water from a fire hose...meaning that the rate at which knowledge/information will be thrown at you is at a very fast rate. That's the reason you have a week gap between each lectures. Take some time and do it slowly.

@@node3079 I have taken coding blocks course which cost me around 17k but the aman dhattarwal's course is providing greater content than that with animations. And also it's free. So I don't think it's a fast course. Also other online courses such as coding ninja and coding blocks provide there content with a time limit of 6 months so u have to complete in 6 months whether you understood everything or not. Where as this aman's course is is on youtube and with no time limit .
