    Hi
    Ah, that food looks good!
I wish I had been there so I could try a little piece.
So much cold is not normal.... but in a couple of weeks it will be over...
I hope March comes soon, so I can ask to go to Texas to enjoy my van at Texas Gardner Parks.

Texas state parks are among the best in the USA. Be sure to budget $70 for a state park pass. It eliminates the requirement to pay a daily park use fee, and I think gives about a 10% discount on the daily rate, too (don't quote me on that). It pays for itself in just a couple of stays.
      The chicken was delicious.

I'm glad to see that you made it through the winter surprise. I got a couple inches here in Georgia. Joy did amazingly well considering how cold it got. That's good to know, since I'm considering an Embassy RV van. Big decision.

I think if you have shore power, you can pretty much get through anything. Sunshine helps in the winter, and shade is a must in the summer. If you get the opposite in either case, you're going to be expending additional energy to make up for it, if you even can. I think the current Embassy rooftop A?C offering is a far better choice than the Premier system I was able to get, and was the only choice when I purchased Joy. You'll have no issues in summer with it at all from what I can tell. I may consider a retrofit to get one. Regardless, if you face a 90°+ summer heatwave in a Walmart parking lot overnight, you're gonna clobber your batteries. A/C systems are never kind to a battery no matter how good they are. That's why I tend to hop from state park to state park. I like them a lot! Water + Electric = Awesome!

Well, I am jealous. Here in the PNW we have had cold (20's overnight) but sunny weather. No snow and none in the forecast at all the next 45 days, if you can believe it that far out. As you know, I grew up in Northern Indiana and I kind'a miss snow in the winter, at least a little bit.
That truck camper you saw from "over seas", how's that work? How would they get that rig here to the States do you suppose? On a boat I'd guess but that's got to cost a fair bit.
    Thanks for sharing, Tom.
Safe travels as you journey on.

Yeah, I shook my head thinking about the cost and logistics to get what looks like a Super C class campervan across the pond. I mean if you're moving here, okay, but otherwise, why not just rent a campervan? It's gotta be cheaper.
This winter's ironies have been pretty spectacular. The snow cover on the gulf coast has exceeded the snow cover in much of the upper midwest. Crazy. Of course that's a very short-lived phenomenon, but still crazy.
I used to watch Chrome on Vancity Vanlife. I wonder what he's up to these days. UA-cam hasn't recommneded him in a while now that I think of it. But anyway, it always amazed me how mild it seemed in the winter in the PNW of BC. Maybe I should just hang out up there instead. Of course that would just flip your weather just to spite me, lol.
