I live in a rough area in Massachusetts. My car is always in the garage. Even if I come home and plan on going back out my car is in the garage. This man would be a wonderful neighbor to have. I would just say to him park his nice cars in the garage that he has. If that garage is full of junk so he parks outside I'd get rid of the junk and park his cars in the garage. Lock the doors of the car even in the garage. Keep door locked at all times. Also, start a community watch in his neighborhood. Make it an unwelcome place for criminals to come to. Also, I think he is in Texas where everyone has a gun. Make sure you are armed. Go to the range a few times a year for target practice.
I live in this area and it is too rampid. My father's truck, i inherited after he passed, was stolen right from under my nose and still has not been recovered. My vehicles have been broken into 4 times and my house 3 times. It will not change until a homeowner ends up shooting someone and then it will be another fiasco in the news. And the funny thing is, they said there is one officer for this area, which by the way is too big for one guy, but really close to this guys street, there is a police station. and it STILL, takes them too long to get there. SMH is all i can do.
I wish I was lucky and blessed enough to have an awesome neighbor like that guy. Its sad that the way that man is used to just be the normal way of life back in the day watching out for your neighbors and doing your part to keep the neighborhood safe and make sure these jerks don't mess up our neighbor hoods

Common sense dictates that I must keep my gun on me or in a safe place most of the time, and take every possible precaution so it doesn't end in the wrong hands. In East fort worth by Polywood area, there's been a couple cars stolen at night. I have a video of a guy scoping out the neighborhood going into backyards and walking around. My parents neighbor saw him taking her daughter's Bike and called the cops. She's also the one someone stole a truck from 2 weeks ago. Luckily I put Cameras up all around the outside of the their house.
With it being my hometown of Fort Worth Texas, criminals are lucky home owners are shooting them dead on the spot for trespassing, let alone theft. It’s time to start sending a message
My husband has had his car (and subsequently his rental car, which he had while his car was in the shop) hit-and-run in Fort Worth within weeks of each other. We’ve also had our cars broken into, garage door openers stolen, and our neighbor had his truck broken into and his pistol stolen as well. It’s getting ridiculous and the police don’t do anything either. Guess time will tell.
There are roaming groups of these people 12-4am that bump doors all night long..They don't care about security cameras or security lights. I have video of one getting into my car..The end results is one of these kids gets shot or they harm someone ..There has already been attempted car jacking and shooting at the Hulen mall..I think the kids were 16 years old..
It's gonna get worse especially since these kids are out of school now. All I can say is protect you and your loved ones and your property to the best of your ability.

There are homeless people that walk up and down her street in her neighborhood and it never use to be like that. She also told me a homeless person also decided to make themselves comfortable on her porch one morning and she called the cops. They kept telling the cops it was his sister's house which was bs. Even if she didn't have anything stolen or anything, you gotta have a weapon or something because you can't trust people in which she does have a gun so she is protected.

I called fwpd when both of my cars were broken into. The refused to come out.
