Being officially ancient, I am amazed at the progress of machining in my lifetime. I saw overhead belt driven machines being used, everyday, in a small Oregon coast town in my teens, & have watched how dramatically our entire world has changed because of the advancement of CNC.
And that is only in my relatively short lifespan. It boggles the mind to think what today's teens will see when they're officially ancient.
Thanks for taking us along to your friends' place, Steve.

I agree 100% but at the same time I’m even more impressed when I learn of the marvelous work that was achieved decades before the advancements. Such things as WW2 aircraft engines with precision machined surfaces that didn’t use sealing gaskets or any goop to seal components or covers.

Whats realty insane is the fact that they are achieving 1 thousands or so tolerance on the blower impeller, on a 4 axis operation with "god" knows how many gear sets and 5 motors (1 drives the tool head rotation) Now that is mind blowing. Thanks Steve and crew from TorqStorm.

I have worked in these top secret shops with close tolerance work aka military & aircraft, and even medical parts. Not only is there an inspection room with precision equipment with ruby tipped probes to check quality, but these machines have probes that check the work before it is removed from the fixtures or tombstones found in the Doosan pallet machine. Some parts are even viewed on an optical comparator inspection machine.

Great video, very informative. I am very impressed with Torque Storm, especially now knowing it’s American made
5:50 I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many serpentine belts in one place at one time.
37:33 I have never seen anything but an exhaust manifold/header run into a Flowmaster muffler tell now.
43:07 You know it’s legit workhorse when it has a ratchet strap or two on it.
47:26 It’s amazing what CNC machines can do, but what really amazes me is how the CNC machine is built. It can repeatedly be that precise over and over again through millions of different movements reliably, stays exact and doesn’t skip a beat.

Great to see that Torque Storm makes mounting brackets for ALL American V8s and likely a few others. Thank you, TS!

Steve is so good at explaining tech in a way I can understand I think he's a bad influence 😅 I know too much now and need a faster motor and better American made parts! In all seriousness I truly appreciate Kyle, Steve and Dewey for bringing us along on all these adventures while educating us too!

I really appreciate it, too. Gave me a newfound respect which I already did for torque storm. Made me want to buy one for sure. Thanks.

They want you do buy their made in the USA parts ..but they buy all offshore machines to make them would they could be using made in the USA machines..kind of hypocritical .
