First of all, traveling using buses in Saudi is an awful idea from the get go. Public transportation aren't designed for tourists yet. They're mostly meant to transport labors for the most part. Second, I think you guys came too early for tourism. The country isn't built or ready for tourists yet, so most peojects are under construction. There are about 10 mega projects that are being built now to shape the county as a tourist destination as well as multiple public transportation lines like metros and new organized city bus services. I think you guys should come back in 5 to 10 years to truly enjoy it as tourists because it will be different and much better. But, if you don't care about your typical tourist spots then this is the perfect time and you should dive deep into the culture and go to villages and other small cities to meet the locals, instead of focusing on shopping malls or tourist destinations. Stay safe.
Totally understand that, very difficult to access to villages with huge cameras lol , there’s only certain things we can go and see at the moment, we were there on our own and there’s not much information online :)
@@themagicportal9084 That's what I said in my last sentence. If you don't care about the touristy stuff then this is the best time to visit because it's as authentic as it gets like you said. Even big cities still have large parts of authenticity in them. But in 10 years they will become financial global tourist hubs just like london, Dubai, Tokyo and every other globalized city, and the authenticity/culture will then be exclusive mostly to villages and small towns that no tourists knows about. I know a lot of youtube travelers prefer the authenticity option, not the touristic stuff, so that's why I was wondering on what dabble and travel want exactly, because it seems they're only going to shopping malls and touristy places that aren't even finished yet. There are way more authentic and cultural experiences to see outside the big cities, but they need good connections to help them get around, meet the locals and see the small towns and it's traditions. Saudi has a wide variety of different Arab cultures compared to UAE and Qatar, the north is different from the south and the east is different from the west culturally. If you go deep you will find a lot of interesting things, not only going to shopping malls.
This is so wrong! Depends what time you are talking about, as I write now, the public transportation completely changed. UA-cam it and select a recent video. You picked a bad time to come to Saudi Arabia. The weather is waiting for October, and then the activities will begin in the Riyadh season and the Diriyah season
This is called investing, in the past most of Saudis spend their holiday abroad as there wasn't much to do, so the government decided to invest in these places, simple as that
Looks like they need to work on some things if they want to attract more tourists - which is the plan. Taking pictures at historical sites shouldn’t be a problem and I’m sure there will be training on that and more affordable dining options around popular sites and not just fine dining. The whole area looks a bit dead as well probably because you’re all always out exploring during off peak times.
It is weird cuz I've visited the very same place and took pictures! Anyways, i agree that the place has to offer more affordable places to eat. Diriya is such a beautiful place and they're still working on it. It is gonna be a must visit site once constructions are done.
@@heart49 Yeah I'm aware so I'm still surprised that they seem to have mostly filmed during the day when no one is around. I would have thought that filming at least once during peak times would've been interesting as there would be some atmosphere for once.

Hey guys, have loved all your videos going back to the Balkan ones and we actually took some inspiration from you for our own Balkan itinerary. I'll be honest, I'm a little disappointed that none of these videos about life in Saudi Arabia have really delved into the issues facing normal Saudi women, gay people etc. A Saudi woman from Leeds is currently serving a 35-year prison sentence for tweeting in support of dissidents having been arrested when she returned home for a holiday - Salma al-Shehab. Do either of you think this sort of thing should be highlighted when making a series of videos promoting Saudi? Not sure if this is paid content that you're doing on behalf of the Saudi government or your own completely independent trip, but I'm honestly a little disappointed you've glossed over a lot of these very real issues so far. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
I wonder if you would say the same thing to people vlogging about China and not commenting on the Uighur genocide, and how about Israel and their destruction of Palestine? And I’ve yet to see a travel vlog about America, which highlights its gun crimes.
What does politics have to do with tourism.. Now women have all the freedom in Saudi Arabia. If you did not know that, this is your problem.. Now the whole world knows that, so you see many people coming to Saudi Arabia, and their women live freely and were never restricted to anything If you love sedition and the killing of the Saudi people, they do not have time for your satanic ideas. If they do not like what is happening in terms of development, openness and freedom for Saudi women, they do not have time for extremists like you. We thank you for exposing the dark side of your attacking personality. It is unfortunate that we are interviewing a person who wants to return Saudi Arabia to its closure from the world and make it besieged, even though it is the richest country in heritage and the most important country from which civilizations emerged.
@@angelicaaltaf Yeah actually, I would, so I don't really understand your point? In historical places all over the world you’re not allowed to take photos not only in Riyadh
Yea
We Indians love u boy 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
I wonder how expats lives In Riyadh seems a nice place but very warm and in door activities mainly. Would love to visit some day
Riyadh gets VERY cold at night and dry, more bearable heat during the day in winter (continental climate far from the sea) 👍.
@@andrewrobinson2565 you live there? If yes do you like it what are the pros and cons
@@ahmadmansee I worked there from 1986 to 2003, lived there permanently with my wife and children for five years during that time.
Because I could read the signs and speak the language, I had much less culture shock than Dabble and Travel.
It seems like the Dirriyah staff haven't been trained that KSA is now a tourist destination. The old Najdi habits die hard: bad attitude from uneducated people to foreigners 🤔.
I'm watching the Liverpool footballers going there with interest...
Not an expats but got to know some expats and they loved living here. Riyadh is really hot during the summer for sure, but in the winter it gets pretty cold. Also the nights are not bad in terms of weather
Thanks to the wise leadership, this money goes to the welfare of the people and human rights and does not go to drugs like other countries.❤🇸🇦🌹🍃👍
You picked a bad time to come to Saudi Arabia. The weather is waiting for October, and then the activities will begin in the Riyadh season and the Diriyah season
Not really, this vid was recorded several weeks ago old, It's only got uploaded today
👍👍👍👍
This is called investing, in the past most of Saudis spend their holiday abroad as there wasn't much to do, so the government decided to invest in these places, simple as that
Definitely. Didn’t say it was a bad thing! Thanks for watching
Al nassr the only biggest club in KSA
Hello guys, good time
Do you want to come to Iran and visit the most historical and pure historical places?
Hello guys i love you so much enjoy your adventures take care 💖💖💖
Thanks so much

Looks like they need to work on some things if they want to attract more tourists - which is the plan. Taking pictures at historical sites shouldn’t be a problem and I’m sure there will be training on that and more affordable dining options around popular sites and not just fine dining. The whole area looks a bit dead as well probably because you’re all always out exploring during off peak times.
It’s school vacation + Eid holiday + It’s summer thats why most of the places are empty
It is weird cuz I've visited the very same place and took pictures! Anyways, i agree that the place has to offer more affordable places to eat. Diriya is such a beautiful place and they're still working on it. It is gonna be a must visit site once constructions are done.
Also, it is summer and it is too hot to visit such an open area during the day. Saudi people go out at night due to the sun
@@sultan19h39 yeah that's definitely partly why
@@heart49 Yeah I'm aware so I'm still surprised that they seem to have mostly filmed during the day when no one is around. I would have thought that filming at least once during peak times would've been interesting as there would be some atmosphere for once.
Two times u said this In video 9:25 😅thay have toomuch money.
Can you please explain why it's funny ? being a rich country or a rich person. I really do not understand the point of view of the poor. All I know there is no shame having money .
It is around 4 pm in middle week i just wake up open youtub drinking my coffee my mony work for me
@@zoz1398 brother, did u ask me to reply? With a question mark?
My sentence meaning was deep like the person who have enough of money he will do what is possible in that money , that doesnt mean that im blaming rich people.
I just said in simple words This country has alot of money the place where camels use to stay , rich people has made it a living or visiting place for human.
Again you try to offend us
our cities not only a place where camel can live
we have a history if you are an Arab which I assumed based on your name you know about Al-Yamamah where Riyadh city is today
why is it not good or it is racist to call Africa the jungle
but it's okay to try to insult the Saudis
he is just envious 😂
Do you like Saudi Arabia!
I think I only found 10%. And 90% remains that you haven't discovered yet 😅.
So much more to see!

How did you not see the Boulevard city Fountain!!! You came all the way this place just to miss it? AAH
Pretty sure they saw it/come to it,
It's called editing, they only showed some places, not all of them
we did show it! ♥️✨
You said it right. They have too much money and they dont know what to do with it.
Not always a bad thing haha!
And what would you have done with it? The country is diversifying it's economy while providing entertainment to it's people. You wish to have that

Now the whole world knows that, so you see many people coming to Saudi Arabia, and their women live freely and were never restricted to anything
If you love sedition and the killing of the Saudi people, they do not have time for your satanic ideas.
It'd be wrong to gloss over China's genocide in Xinjiang and the Israeli treatment of Palestinians just as much, but they're not doing that. I started watching these guys cause their videos felt very genuine. This feels a little bit like they're ignoring the bad stuff because they're potentially being paid to promote the country.
@@HkOoM What is Salma Al-Shehab in jail for then, if Saudi women have all the freedom in the world? Why are women's activists like Loujain al-Houthal in prison, if Saudi women have all the freedom in the world? Do you agree with the way these women have been treated in state custody? Are women (or men) free to criticise Mohammed Bin Salman?

I told you, this is a policy that has nothing to do with claiming rights because it has been given full rights.. Saudi Arabia today, the whole world sees that it has given all rights and will not force the other party to remove the veil or wear the veil by force. It has complete freedom, including travel, driving, work or dress, and we are not in In France, let us impose a fine on the one who wears the hijab, or if she does not find money, or she refuses and demands freedom, then she is imprisoned. Those with this lady are extremists and do not accept the West, and it is permissible to expose you
It is well known that those with the Brotherhood reject tourism in Saudi Arabia and attack it even if it is from Western countries, but their goal in Saudi Arabia is tourism in any way, and this is extremism and treachery by working with the enemies of peace on earth
