Looks great. Thanks for the info, including your mixing mistake. I will be trying this on an oak table my neighbor was throwing away.
Great! Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for the tutorial! I've used similar fillers before and I'd recommend doing the mixing with two equally-sized spatulas, moving the mix around from one to the other to avoid premature drying. Other than that, great job! It looks way better than I initially expected.
Thanks for the tip!
thank you! my corgi thought it was a good idea to take a chunk out of a big trim piece....in our apartment we are moving out of next month. i will be doing this asap!
Awesome! It worked great for me.
If you hadn’t painted it white and wanted to keep the wooden look, is there a way to restain the bondo or darken it to match the rest of it?
It is stainable but I'm not sure how close it would look. You can see how I stained the rest of my laminate wood side tables to match the bed here though! ua-cam.com/video/tplGVCqgA9g/v-deo.html
I read the instructions as 3inch x 1/2 inch thick (not 1 inch) circle and 3 inch strip (not circle) of part 2. The stuff is pretty forgiving fortunately.
I don’t think a paper mask protects you from inhaling fumes.
