Hi all! If you are confused why you got a notification before the video is available it is because we are trying a new UA-cam feature called Premiere! You can chat live with us when the video becomes available at the scheduled time!
So FUN..I love it when I find a really great new channel. You two are awesome, and your production value is great. I own a production company so I love it when I find people who are great story tellers, editors, producers, reporters and it sure never hurts when they are attractive..congrats to both of you. My wife and I watched are catching up right now spending quality time on a Sunday night in Atlanta watching you two flit all over the globe..so great. Thank you for taking the time to make your stories really great in every way..we know how much work it is to do it right!!!! MORE MORE MORE!
Hey Rich! Dude- Thanks so much for the kind words. We have a small channel- we do this because we love it. We started off filming on a potato with no idea why you'd want a shotgun mic and a deadcat....here we are a few years later still unable to necessarily hold a camera level. But we're working on it! Our takeaway from this episode? Once the Hero6 gets wet, the built in mic is even worse than usual! Our pride and joy is our Vietnam episode. If you're looking to watch a video that shows what we're about, that's probably the one. Thanks again for rolling the dice and checking out one of our videos.
@@MarriedwithWanderlust it is so much more rewarding as a creator to be able to watch it "live" with your audience! Totally beats posting a video then walking away!! hah
Love Banff. been there 3 separate times. once backpack. once motorcycle. once car. always lots going on no matter what time of year. due for another trip soon!
I've done RV'S, vans, schoolbus, and the best is a sailboat at anchor. You can get one for $100-$200 at a harbor lien sale auction. No traffic and no need for petroleum. Wind and solar and you can go anywhere on Earth except Denver.
Banff is a dream!!! My boyfriend and I visited this past June and cant stop thinking about it (literally). Watching this video right now reminiscing considering the RV life. I'd love to see a video on your back story and how you afford to do this full time. I'm assuming money from youtube and other social media supports your lifestyle? Would love to learn more about it. My boyfriend and I are 23 and 25 and LOVE to travel and explore new places. We just got back to the east coast from a year living in California completing a year of service with Americorps. Looking for ways to get out and travel again!! Morraine Lake was one of the most surreal moments of our lives as well as getting to walk on the Athabasca glacier. Would love to chat and learn more about y' all! You both seem so genuine and sweet! Can't wait to binge watch all your videos instead of studying my chemistry lol Definitely hitting that subscribe button!
Hey Victoria! Thanks for checking out our videos. This ENTIRE thing has been a long project. We saved for two years to take our first trip. Then, after coming back home, we worked like crazy to build remote businesses that we could operate while on the road. Fin does HR consulting and I started an Amazon store. We get very little of our income from youtube/social media. In fact, what we do earn from youtube is less than the amount we spend on equipment to make our Vlogs look and sound better. You gotta study that chemistry! I majored in chem for undergrad at Indiana University. I'm sad to admit this, but I had to take Organic Chem 1 and Organic 2 twice-each! :)
We'll "get there" next week. Fin is working on a kinda of "comprehensive" episode for Banff so still had time for this little Sunday episode. We're making something to help plan itinerary for people who haven't been to Banff before because there was SO MUCH TO DO.
Welcome to the "Land of the Beaver"...it's what shaped Canada btw! LOL...Even my railway features guess what...A Big Ole Beaver on it's emblem...yup...Busy busy Beavers! Fun FAct...up till not long ago you literally used to sit "in the hotsprings" but to environmental law it's no longer allowed!
If I could do life over, I want to come back doing all of what you guys have done! We still have yet to take a honeymoon, 9 yrs this month, we could make it epic!
HAHA! What is it with "Allison's" and Jager? My Alli drank pretty much a whole small bottle last night! It is her party drink of choice! My band should be endorsed by the stuff! LOL Alli said you looked great for being hungover btw! :)
Hey! When you are filming yourself Fin, are you holding the Go Pro in your hand with no gimbal or tripod? Just wondering! It still looks great and I want to know if doing this myself is fine too! Thanks!
Hi Christine! We are just holding the gopro- no gimbal or tripod. Of course, what you don't see in the video is extra fifteen minutes that we shot that was too shaky to use. We purchased the Hero 7 and are excited to see what the stabilization does for the videos- it's supposed to be a huge advantage with the new ones...of course we had just purchased the 6 😝
TIM and FIN I just bought the hero 6 a couple months ago and it was brand new! Stabilization too! Is there a special setting you used to get such a clear picture quality and kind of blurred background? Love your work! And there’s already a 7???
@@questionsaboutcho I just realized what happened- I misunderstood your first comment. We only used a gopro for the walk up to the hot springs and being in the water. The rest of the video would have been shot on a lumix GH5 which is why it looks better/sharper- including the slight blur in the background. Does that maybe clear things up? We're still trying to figure out how to make gopro footy look better. Peter McKinnon has some good info that we're starting to follow- Not sure if you saw the video but I put the link at the bottom. Shooting in Pro Tune and trying to use linear as much as possible- then finney does all the color correction in post. We shot so much of the last trip on a gopro and we've barely been using it on this trip- probably because it's not as terribly hard to bring our big honking camera on a short trip out of the RV vs backpacking around with a tiny gopro. ua-cam.com/video/jOHg1a1F-iA/v-deo.html
TIM and FIN thank you! We have the go pro 6 and I am always looking for tips about how to get the best quality videos. What program do you do color correction in Fin? :) enjoying the ride with y’all!
@@questionsaboutcho I use Premiere Pro to edit with now. When we first started though, I was using iMovie and Tim was using PowerDirector. Premiere is quite a bit faster for me and has all the bells and whistles, but iMovie was more than good enough when I first started trying to edit some of this footy.
Some of the show you cant even see they turn black and dont see the pictures only hearing voices and thats it bit other then that they are really good places to go see thinking about takeing a road trip here soon my self

Hey Krystal, this is a new UA-cam feature that you can watch it live with us at the time it comes out! There will be a chat box on the top right. Videos are coming out at the same time as normal but now you are notified before hand if you would like to join live.
Your video is listed in my subscriptions and I wanted to watch it. It showed that it’s not available and will fall back with videos I already watched. I might not see it anymore the next time i look :(
I hope you realize that T-Mobile and AT&T do not operate in Canada and you are actually roaming on a Canadian provider - Bell Mobility, Telus, or Rogers most likely. Check your data plan for roaming charges or you may get a billing shock. Too bad you skipped the cable car next to the hotsprings.
Thanks for the heads up! Our ATT and TMobile transferred over into CA to Bell and Rogers and we have international plans. Strangely, we found that T-Mobile/Bell worked WAY better for our drive through most of Canada compared to Rogers/ATT. Don't know if it has something to do with the international plan, but there were days at a time once we got north of Banff that Rogers/ATT didn't work at all.
Plus it generates alerts when it actually premieres.. maybe nice if it's the only channel to which you're subbed but not if you follow many more. Premiere is nice for special things, but if every UA-camr is gonna use it then the whole point about it is gone.

And it’s called the BEAVER.
Subtle hints are not our strong suit obviously.
Ha ha! Are you sure The Beaver wasn’t same sex bar?
