It has nothing to do with me not loving every one of my supporters because I do. It has to do with me doing what works on UA-cam, so I can afford to keep making videos for my audience. Every detail I do is for free and it’s not cheap at all to do UA-cam full time.

for red dyes and soda, I use ammonia (you can dilute it), soak, then steam with a rag on the steamer. You need to break the chemical bond. You need to be careful too and not over steam (get it to hot) because it can lighten the carpet itself. try in an inconspicuous area first to get the feel. I like to put a rag on the end of the steamer so it will transfer the red to the rag with the heat. At best you'll remove the stain. at worst, it will lighten the stain possibly the carpet a bit. Practice it a few times before do it on a paying customer so you see how to do it.
Different fabrics don't always react the same to strong chemicals like ammonia/ bleach. It might work great on some carpets and others might absorb too much or have uneven lightening. Definitely wouldn't recommend using that inside the car..
My gf use to work for a nursing home doing lundry and she brought home a stain remover that was able to take paint out of carpet and clothes idk what it was but i wonder if it would take that dye out.
I've never seen those seats, but I actually like the idea of them. Like cowboy boots, they get a nice patina over time. Not sure I'd want that commitment in my car, though. Should've used saddle soap :) Great transformation.
That would only work if that material was full grain leather. I think it's much more likely the material is a split or a suede, at best. Far more likely to be a leather derivative or pleather product of some type bonded to a textile (cloth). Very unlikely it would take the oils like full grain boots, belts, and tack do.
There have been a few different leather styles used in Ford King Ranch vehicles over the last 2 decades. 2001-2009 were a Castano leather, 2009 - 2018 was Chaparral leather, both are Aniline leathers - they are dyed not sprayed and clear coated like typical automotive leather. The issue is like your cowboy boots, the leather will dry out and crack if not given some care, but also like your boots, it's pretty durable.

The idea of real saddle leather is cool and interesting, it could also be used as a bragging point. However, I would not want to own it as it extremely annoying to keep clean, and is hard to clean. So, that’s a no for me.
Actually saddle leather is incredibly durable and fairly easy to clean and maintain with the right leather cleaner and conditioner. As mentioned saddle soap can be used and works great. Using chemicals, improper cleaners, and not using leather conditioner will leave the leather looking weathered, dry, and cracked like in the after shots of this video.
I have cleaned real saddle leather boots. We have a thing of saddle soap that we rarely use cause o ly one pair of boots is real saddle leather. It's axing how nice it can look when cleaned right

I have a 2007 King Ranch f150 which is the year before Ford did away with the true saddle leather. I absolutely love the look of them but HATE cleaning them as a detailer myself. Saddle soap honestly is one of the best things i've found to clean them though

Just used your MAD ceramic coating for the first time (finally got a warm enough day to wash my car in CT), and it is, hands down, the best ceramic sealant I have ever used, and very reasonably priced, you guys have got to get your hands on this product!

honestly, I use Dreft baby laundry spray for most of my set in stains, been using it for years. It's was formulated to get out baby poo stains but pre-treat with it and I also use baking soda and vinegar with it, hands down best combo ever
Yeah that leather is impossible to truly clean. It’s great for a pair of shoes or a saddle that Looks interesting when it gets aged and weathered but in a car… not so much. Great work!
I use a three bucket method with multiple microfiber towels. I switch towels after each body panel. One bucket has the soapy water and clean towels. One bucket has rinse water for the towels. The towels are not reused until they go through the washing machine. I rinse them in the bucket in order to keep the washing machine from foaming up. And the third bucket I use to rinse the soap off my hands.
king ranch leather seats are actually some of the best. treat them like a boot or baseball glove not like the basically plastic seats in most leather equiped vehicles.
That's the way saddle leather is, in the horseback riding world or atleast the people I ride with we call it leather seasoning. But if you go to any tack shops there are some great leather cleaning products.
That red looks like old GMC pickup carpet dye. Reminds me of the interior of my truck I inherited when my pops died. He regularly had to re-dye the carpet every few years because he was never parked under any shade and it faded like crazy every few years.

As I am watching your video,I notice that the carpet has stains. Have you tried using white distilled vinegar with Dawn dish detergent on those stains? It looks like they are paint spills. Also try nail polish remover with acetone,that should work or rubbing alcohol. Hopefully this will be some help to you. Keep on rocking.
Want to do mine next. It's a Michigan work truck with plenty of cancer, clear coat flaking, leaking rear window and smoked in. It also has a matching bed cap. Can't remember when the outside was last washed but the interior was partially cleaned two years ago when I had to replace the condenser and heater core.
By no means am I a professional at this. And I love your vids. Just 1 thing to bring light to. And maybe it was done off camera. Under the bed liners! With how long it sat out it could have a bit a damage under there

I, myself have never had a streaking problem with degreaser starting at the top and going down. So that's how I do that, and I'm glad Ford got rid of that leather, too. I hated cleaning that leather also.
My great Grandpa had seats like that. When we used the Murphy’s oil soap and warm to hot water, we still used an extractor. I had a saddle made out of that same material had to be cleaned the same way. And it sucks! I would spend hours upon hours cleaning both the seats and the saddle! LOL
Nice job, under these circumstances. I'm surprised you didn't wear a mask or hazmat suit on this truck, it looked pretty bad. I would be somewhat reluncted to drive a vehicle that has had mold. Neitherless to say, you did awesome job getting it all cleaned out. 👍👍👍👍👍😉🎄🇺🇸

Saw a commercial building cleaned after a water / mold incident. They used an ozone generator as part of the decontamination process. Would you consider using one in the truck cab? PS - I’m totally impressed.
I had this chemical back in my nursing home days that you would treat red spots with. Let sit then put a wet rag over it and set an iron on it. Somehow it would transfer the dye (not the stain) to the wet towel and make the red invisible in the carpet. Food for thought
unbelievable clean up job man! Really amazing transformation. I seen a video the other day where a guy took COLGATE tooth paste and smeared it on foggy headlamps. Yeah, a Ford Truck like this one. He used a tooth brush and scrubbed the lens. Then he used a buffer. Wiped off the headlamps and they looked like new again.
If you ever have to clean stuff like this again horsemans one step is a great saddle soap, made for this type of leather. Also kills mold and mildew. I know nothing about cleaning cars, but it works great on my actual saddles!

Try cleaning that type of leather with saddle soap first, then condition with mink oil. It works wonders.

I’d probably use saddle soap to clean that kind of interior. When the interior would be completely dry I’d use some saddle dressing to preserve them.
I completely agree. I would use the same method as cleaning some leather boots, belts, sofas.
Was going to suggest treating the seats like you would a real saddle or boots too.

Blue coral dissolve all interior cleaner will remove some pretty horrible stains but your right nothing will remove stains like that red one

I imagine whoever owns it, will have respiratory issues. Mold gets in every material and inch.

Extractor does that, then hang it or leave all doors in the car open for a few hours
