You did such a wonderful job on Uncle Fester! How exciting, an Addams Family member is now "living" in your Addams Family Mansion! You inspired me to pull out a light bulb bottle to turn into a "Uncle Fester's Day Glo Explosives" piece for my ever-expanding Halloween Apothecary display. Thank you, Ara! I am loving your Addams Family October projects.
You've done an excellent job on Uncle Fester Ara! I just love him! Can't wait to see what you do with all the other dolls. I also love the one's that you hand sculpted. They are definite keepers!
Thank you Karin! I think I am going to make my favorites (Morticia and Wednesday) last so that I can build up my doll making skills before I get to them. Plus I feel like their outfits are the most complicated as well.
Good thinking. I agree I think it would be tempting to start with your favourites first, but much more practical to start with the easiest ones. I need to make a family of gnomes for my tree house. I think I might be able to use your techniques to help me out. So thanks so much..
Does that little iron you used @13:27 make the adhesive dry faster? I've had difficulty using clothing adhesive because it seems to take a long time to dry. I would learn to sew, but I don't have access to a good machine, and I'm too impatient to hand-sew. P.S. The pictures of your Adams family house look awesome! The dolls are looking great as well.
Thank you so much! Yes the iron makes the glue dry almost instantly... it has turned out to be a must-have for me when it comes to mini-clothes or anything regarding fabric. The brand is "clover" and you can find them on Amazon. Watch out though because they are HOT HOT HOT! I hope that helps!
Love him!! Because of you i was inspired to make Cousin It... He's almost done!!! In the process of making his hat I came across the same glue issue as you on his pants. Tried the Sharpie thing too (I guess great minds think alike lol) HATED IT! So I tried a black chalk pastel then kind of locked it in with a dab of water. So much better! Almost invisible. I thought I'd share my trick with you.
Good thought!! I will have to remember that. Yeah... if the sharpie had to be on something other than the bottom of his pants legs I would have redone it. Thankfully it's not something people stare at too much. I am sure I will have more glue mess-ups in the future so I will have to keep your method in mind!
I very intriguing enjoy watching you create the Addams family characters. The only one that's not been done, is WEDNESDAY.Im looking forward to that one,oh, and cousin Itt. Now that would be truly interesting.all that hair.✌️😆😋😆👍
I am looking forward to creating her too but also a bit scared! I want her to be perfect ;) Also Cousin Itt is already made... a friend made him for me as a gift!
Lol now I’m going to have to find my clover mini iron I have all the iron heads on the shelf I just can not find the iron it’s in one of my many boxes I packed when I moved from Sydney to Texas yep 11 years later I still have all me boxes still to unpack🙈🙈🙈
I believe the tv show Fester had eyebrows but they were very light... but now you have me second guessing and thinking that I might remove them. If he does they are pretty much not visible or blend in with the dark circles. Hmmm....
@@badwolfcustomairbrushingde1432 ok thank you! Not sure how that ever slipped past me haha. I will have to research on the best paint removal product of porcelain. Love the original series!
Love everything you did as usual, great job. The eyes were messed up before you touched them, really not keen on the way the professional doll artist painted his face, he looked like he was wearing bad drag make-up. I'd have taken some acetone to the face & started over.
Thanks Joanne ;) Probably most of them will need to be redone just to match the Addams "look". I actually should check to see if the acetone even works on the porcelain... I really don't want to mess them up! ;)
@@BentleyHouseMinis That never even occurred to me - what do they paint porcelain dolls with? Acetone doesn't destroy Barbie/Monster High dolls faces when removing factory paint, so I figured porcelain would be fine, but I suppose it could discolour or cause pitting, I'd prob test on an inconspicuous spot first & def go gently on the face. White toothpaste is good for removing stains from smooth surfaces like porcelain tile, if you get any stains.
Uncle Fester turned out awesome and what project doesn't have it's hiccups? There are some crafts that I've done more than once and occasionally, I'll still make a mistake. In the end, you have a doll for the mansion! I also stopped by Sandra's site. She has a lot of amazing items there. I love the DIY costume kits and she has these amazing corsets that are so cute. I dropped her a line to let her know that I found her through you. When I get back home and have a bit of extra money to spend, I'll try out one of her kits too. Thanks for sharing your creation and looking forward to the next one!
Thank you!!! He was not marketed as Uncle Fester. He was just an "old man" kit and I tweaked it to look like Uncle Fester. I am sure you can email her and ask if she has any similar kits if you are specifically looking for a kit like the one I bought.
He looks awesome!
Thank you!!

I'm currently in the process of designing a coat for my miniature dachshund. Roady is a 2in toy. I've been doing this for 3yrs, since I found him. 🙃🐶
Was it Morticia or Gomez that married in?
Morticia😉
awesome
Wonderful
Thanks Ilene!
You don’t need to get a mini iron, the pointy bit of a regular one will do fine you just have to be careful depending on what you’re making it with

I still have boxes from when I moved out of my parents house lol... who knows what is in those!
Bentley House Minis LoL and I thought I was bad lol❤️
Ok my comments are working but now I have to have subtitles on yuck.
I find Fester with eyebrows very very disturbing. Which version had eyebrows?
I believe the tv show Fester had eyebrows but they were very light... but now you have me second guessing and thinking that I might remove them. If he does they are pretty much not visible or blend in with the dark circles. Hmmm....
Bentley House Minis hi, watching the original series on Amazon prime and he is eyebrow less. Great figures and house by the way.

I love the way Fester turned out. I think I would maybe put a light bulb in his hand lol
Thank you! He will definitely have quite a few in his room for sure!
I agree make a mini light bulb to be placed in his hand, what he known for.cool.

Yes she does have a lot of fun things to look through and she's sooo helpful if you have questions! Thanks so much!!
I wish I could help but I have no clue as to how to make them.
I am still learning too! ;)
Not lazy, SMART. I've used a sharpie for all kinds of things.
haha true! Thanks ;)
PLEASE make morticia!!
I certainly will! Stay tuned ;)
What about cousin it
Check out myfroggy stuff she does a lot of clothing for dolls and shows how to make patterns for them too.
Thank you Edwina I will!! Any help I can get for the future dolls is great!!
I looked on the website and couldn't find uncle fester. Was he a special order? I love the way you made him
