I'd been testing grass knot because so many restricted things are going with Water Tera or are just generally very heavy. I don't know why Venusaur never occurred to me though. The only downside is that it makes contact.
My concern with this team is not having fake out at all. I think a trick room mode is great, and honestly has been helpful against Caly-S and choice scarf Kyogre. But I’ve been using Farigiraf instead of Porygon to deal with fake out
Yeah I think the Armor Tail utility is very important for harder TR teams. For this one, you really only need Ursaluna in TR, and you can block Fake Out with Substitute if you plan ahead. I don't think this team needs Fake Out, it seems to want to be attacking most turns, a Fake Out user like Rillaboom or Incineroar might slow the team down too much to let it keep its offensive pressure up.
I'd be wary, trick room is one of the few bits of speed control in this comp, yes chlorophyll is nice, but that's only when you have control of the weather, and flame charge is also a plus, but only if you get the set up
I think Farigiraf has more broad applications with Armor Tail, but on teams like this with a less dedicated TR mode, I think P2 is a solid option to be able to chip early with Download Tera Blast and sustain itself with Recover long enough for a late game TR if the opportunity presents itself for Raging Bolt or Ursaluna. Hard to say if it's underplayed, this style of team doesn't have many parallel compositions in the meta, the closest thing would be Calyrex-Ice Rider, which doesn't need another TR since it provides it itself.
@@TalonVGC TR has been very interesting this generation, compared to last. Partly because of the Indeedee-F Error and now because we do have big hitters like Ice Rider who can just set it themselves. Farigiraf does just offer a bunch more flexibility and incidental utility though, that's very true.
This team still get hit hard by shadow rider calyrex and if you run into a miradon team vena can’t do much on the side of hindrance from sleep powder also a min speed peliper would allow 1hko from rapid strike urshifu even under trick room
Yes, Sun won't always be up, things like Tornadus with Rain Dance and Urshifu is a common combo, being locked out of Solar Beam without a switch into Koraidon is annoying, so people run Grass Knot to avoid needing to need Sun to have a strong Grass attack. Kyogre Drizzle and Terapagos Tera clearing weather and often having an Urshifu you'd like to KO is another example

I like this team archetype, gonna try and craft a trick room-less version and see whats up

Do you think Porygon2 has been underplayed this format?

Now prep for Venasaur and win Worlds😂

A rayquaza team counters this, by a lot
Thankfully its usage is very very low, sometimes you have to stack the common matchups and sacrifice strength against uncommon things.
Hi talon, I like your hair.
bro i think theres something wrong with your damage calc, theres no way ursaluna facade does 78 to 93 to no bulk miraidon
Still had Reflect up from a previous calc - my calc skills were super off this video lmao I whiffed one in game 3 too
CAn somebody explain Grass Knot over Solar Beam? while in the Sun and always 120 bp?
