Two at North Cairo: 3/1/2021

After being recently abolished due to a slowdown in steel traffic between the Port of Detroit and Middletown Steel in Middletown, OH, the daily slab trains on the CSX Toledo Sub were reintroduced and had been consistently running with second generation EMDs. I had had no luck being able to get over there to document one of the train myself, but finally on the first day of March 2021, I was able to find a day off of work and head over to North Cairo to film CSX 8064 leading southbound K596 under one of three CPL signal bridges remaining on the line. Make sure to listen to the noise both EMD turbos are giving as they struggle with their heavy train! It was a sound to remember!
Before K596, M561 was up first with a sole GEVO.
