    One of the best looking graphics cards imo, even compared to modern high end cards.

    So I just started playing warzone at 1440p with high settings and I've noticed that my junction temp is maxing out at 102 C. Is this an indication that my thermal paste needs to be changed? I got the card about 4.5 months ago. I have a pretty good cooling set up with 2 × 140mm front intake, 1 × 120mm back exhaust, and 2 × 140mm top exhaust all in a meshify C case. It could just be Warzone because my cpu also get pretty hot and I just replaced the thermal paste on it and I have a noctia Nh-D15 for cooling. I'm using arctic Mx4 thermal paste

    • @EkoLjatifi
      @EkoLjatifi  3 роки тому +3

      In my experience, I cannot recommend the normal MX4 paste for a GPU ... With a Kryounaut from Thermal Grizzly you will have 4 degrees less ... Your case is more of a small case with little air volume ... That means that Air that is inside is completely heated up very quickly and cannot be discharged at the top because your fine dust filter hardly lets the air out ... If you still have a fine air filter at the front of the grille, the airflow catastrophic is perfect ... Without the dust filter, too little or no fresh air can get into the housing, and only the heated air is circulated again and is even warmer ... and if the air at the top cannot escape quickly, the same thing happens again ... I leave it on every housing stupid air filter away and then have much better temperatures ... And I almost never have dust in the case ... Try it ... You may have to renew the thermal paste on the CPU and GPU again ... There is no real one airflow was inside, your thermal grease has most likely leaked ... Best regards

    Hey, how much did it improved? My card go up till 74 degrees in call of duty: warzone. Playing in 3440x1440. No overclocking. The radeon runs in the corsair 750D case with 2x 120mm and 3x140 mm noctua industrial fans. What do u think. Could i get my gpu more colder?

      Variant 1: Remove the side window ... Variant 2: Place a 140mm fan behind the graphics card and let it run at 70 percent

      Hi Okan ... The main problem of overheating is a closed case ... or rather the perforated plate on top and the stupid useless air filter ... I have a Coolermaster Mastercase H500P Mash ... I removed the thin air filter at the front and have much better temperatures and airflow .. ... but the main problem is also upstairs ... I have removed the glass pane at the top so that the hot air can escape immediately without an obstacle ... so my PC stays cool even in midsummer ... In other housings I have the perforated above sheet metal cut away ... First of all, it looks cooler with the three fans and the airflow is great ... best regards

    Hi, I have the same card I wanted to try and see if I could lower temps also used the same thermal paste ,
    Still not that happy with it, my case doesn't help it's the Corsair 570x and have 360 rad at the front only place it fits so the case/GPU isn't getting fresh air from the front , also have 1 back and 2 at top 120mm fans exhausting
    My temps are the following around 74-77c core and 90-95 junction clocked 2110mhz in-game gives 2074mhz @1.185v fans 2000rpm
    On idle it's like 49-51c that's with fans not spinning think this is high because rad at the front
    I feel this being one of the top end 5700xt cards temps should be better
    Me being paranoid I even applied the paste 3 times but I see you applied a good amount of paste I tried spreading out thin layer

    • @EkoLjatifi
      @EkoLjatifi  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Yell ... That is very interesting ... With your high clock, the temperatures are very good ... the junction temperature is also good ... Unlike the processor, a thick layer of thermal paste must be applied to the graphics card ... This is important because the The cooler does not have a high contact pressure as with the processor ... I personally increased the fan curve of stock on my graphics card by 5 percent from the second step onwards and am very satisfied with it ... Oh yes, the 48 degrees are normal at fans switched off ... If you adjust the fan curve manually, the map will stay below 40 degrees in desktop mode without, because the fans then rotate at about 400 revolutions, but you don't hear anything ... Best regards 🤙

      @@EkoLjatifi Hi thanks for replying, I didnt know about the paste but I have since re pasted with thermal grizzly kryonaut which has lowered the temps by few c , with the same settings as above max with benchmarking 71-73c and junction is around 93c with fans on auto 1700-1800,
      I now have it undervolted which seems stable so far 2095mhz @1.125 which in game is giving 2054-2060mhz temps so far max 69c and 85-89c on the junction I also set my own fan curves so it tops up at around 1800rpm which I find good balance but it usually spinning around 1500-1700rpm
      Also about the zero fan when general browsing it rises to 60c and fans kick in at 550rpm and temps drop to 50c and they stop but the temps rise again so just keeps repeating I can actually hear them at 550rpm its probably because the rest of the system is quite all other fans are 800rpm for general use would be great if could lower the fans to like 450-500rpm but lowest it goes is 550rpm its not the biggest issue just me being OCD
      Thanks

      Hi Dimitris ... Yes! ... The temperatures ! ... Since this GraphicsCard in particular increases the JunctionTemperature by over 100 Degrees when the PowerLimit is increased, this remains below 100 Degrees when changing ThermalPastes ...
      In my experience, every GraphicsCard should change the ThermalGrease every 6 Months ... Is important in my experience for GPU and CPU ... But be careful! If the ThermalPaste is poor, the paste cannot change after one year, the paste can harden ! 👍
