You got that right. Civivis are such good values and this really could push Benchmade and Sypderco. Got to love that. If Civivi can do S35VN and this construction for $80 why is Spyderco charging so much for VG10 and fancy plastic, as Slicey would say.
Recently got the green one. For me it is like the Elementum and Hooligan had an S35VN baby with a really good detent. Pretty good. Like to see more higher end Civivis.
Civivi really hit it out of the park with this knife. $83.30 for terrific quality. Sharp 3" blades, perfectly centered, great action, and beautiful. I bought one with the dark green micarta with black s35vn blade and one with the beautiful wood scales and handsome Damascus blade. They're so well made and pretty that I am almost afraid to use them.
I have the same Elementum but bought a Pintail knowing both knives are worth more than the price paid. The Pintail feels better in hand and, yes, love that hollow grind too.
I wanted that elementum but they are sold out everywhere. I didn’t know about the pintail and Amazon had two left when I check this morning so to sum it up it will be here Friday lmao
Been carrying this with the Guibourtia & Damascus every day and enjoying it-- I realized it's basically the old Rectifier design but improved with a linerlock instead of the faulty frame design of the Rectifier, split steel clip in place of the stiff Ti one, and contoured handles. The one problem is that the locked-open blade will fail with a firm spine whack. Sure it's not a hard user but it's a little disappointing. But a great gent's carry, for sure.

You can mid-finger Spidey-flick, but it takes some effort / practice.

Happy new year! I just got mine today. Recalling liking it so far. The only thing I am noticing is how hard it is to get this knife out of my pocket. The way the clip is designed (too strong maybe?) makes it clinch more as you try to grab it. You experience this as well?

3.5" grip length, a good blade steel, and an agreeable blade shape? Well there goes my money. Also, props to you for starting it off on the grid right on the video. Handle length is less important than grip length IMO.

Maybe I'm the only one beside JT's knifelife but I am so bored of these reviewers gushing over this knife. It's just a Hooligan on a diet. Look at the blade & style....its a repeat. I'm not interested in these new Civivi's that are just copies of old Civivi's. Stop sucking up to your suppliers for future free knives.
Design language...lets call it mass marketing & low cost manufacturing. Yes other companies do it but not to the same extent. Civivi is the master of making the most out of a 🔥 market. But hey your not the only UA-cam-er who gushes on these knives then leave out the constant similarities to previous models.

It would save me loads of time of having to research on BladeHQ all the knives that are flippers in S35VN (b/c I don't like D2), also have thumb studs and / or thumb hole, have ball bearing washers, have a deep conceal clip, has a 3" blade (not 3.25"), is a drop point shaped blade, has micarta or carbon fiber handles, has a lanyard hole, is under 3 oz, and under $100. My point: it's not just the design that buyers are looking at.... or else I would've bought a Hooligan a long time ago. Dude, just be thankful for these vid reviews and carry on.

Huge fan of hollow grinds on an EDC knife. Edge stays thin longer than a flat grind
I don’t know why but to me this checks all the boxes and it’s my favorite knife. Great workhorse for yard work.
