@@meMiner thank you for the clarification. Almost all of the feldspar at the location I've been digging is the pink potassium stuff rather than albite or translucent. do you know offhand if there's a separate designation for potassium feldspars with similar iridescent appearance or is it all under that same classification?

meMiner, yes it would! Can't wait to see what you do with the beautiful crystals you found. Looking forward to that video.☺️
Do you sell your findings ? I would love to buy from someone I know found them in natural settings.
I don't have a business. I do this for fun.

Thats a nice haul from the beryl pit. Not bad for ten dollars. Does the envy show yet?
Wow! Love watching your videos!
I am from pei and all we have here is sandstone! Lol
That was interesting. Love the Beryl. Did a Geology course at James Cook Uni 20 years ago for interest sake, but never went gemstone hunting.
I liked Thank you so much
In my excitement, I forgot that rock. Next person along got a nice specimen.
Such a Bob Ross voice, its pleasant to listen to you as you work.
Wow this was the best day that I've had at the Beryl Pit so far.
That was me and Bill's fifth trip there and I finally found some large Blue Beryl crystals as well as some really great Tourmaline.
I didn't even realize how many nice pieces you found that day you totally killed it! We have to try some other spots next year or maybe even Beryl Pit Part 2..
I would 'hound with both of you anytime. I had a blast.
I am uploading the video now of the other mine we visited.
Troy lol Billa told me this was your name haha
Dicksmash McIroncock OMG! Your username is hilarious! My husband and I agreed that we’d love to hang with you guys and talk rocks! I love Canadians! You’re all so chill compared to us uptight Americans! 😬
Oooo I love morganite, it's my favourite gemstone.
NEVER 3VER TOUCH ANOTHER MANS BERYL
great vid as always
Thanks Kevin
I could campout there is that possible is there a campsite near there
I drove up one of the gravel roads and it turned into some kind of forestry area, so I boondocked it for the night. No hassles
@@meMiner sweet sorry about not liking any of your vids lately haven't had any Wi-Fi but I'm back on today so I'm extremely excited to continue watching your stuff keep up the great work and I hope days is doing wonderful from your two fans Chrystal and Wes
@@meMiner camped here too. Amazing spot !! Thank you meMiner 😊
Aqua Chigger said to check you out...so here I am...pretty cool. Very interesting. Thank-you!
Awesome! Thank you!
Where can I find this place this looks so amazing I would love to visit you’re establishment. Peace and Love!
This mine is in Eastern Ontario. I don't have an establishment. ;-)
meMiner. Got ya. Well thank you for replying that’s unfortunately a long ways from Illinois. I’m close to many states that’s definitely not one though. Its awesome to see that people are still out exploring and enjoying the fruits of the planet. Peace and love thanks for answering.
For sure, not a day trip for ya
Is this a big pegmatite?
Yes. On one side is a microcline-perthite cleavelandite-quartz pegmatite containing tourmaline and the other side is an albite-perthitic microcline-quartz biotite pegmatite. I had to get that from mindat. ;-)
meMiner Excuse me?🤷🏻♀️🙄😲
@@McChrister stop reading at "yes". LOL
Nice outing and some nice finds. Thanks for sharing, GL, HH and take care.
It was a fun day. We got completely soaked by the rain and had a blast.
I need this place
that was one heck of an adventure … breath-taking …
Thanks. We had fun.
Beautiful rocks you got there! May I ask you what do you do with them? Do you sell them? I would love to buy a piece of raw tourmaline and a raw smokey quartz from you.
I collect for fun and don't have a store
Cool spot! nice variety of minerals
It was my first time there. I liked it and had lots of fun
Pepper n Daisy 🐶🐕☺️
Lisa Eriksen
"Can you believe Daisy is afraid of that?"
I'd be afraid of a dust mop that barked too! 😏
Pepper is such a sweet dog too though, don’t let her bark fool you 🥰
The dogs figure it out.
meMiner they’re better at it then people 😂.
For sure. There is no deception in dogs.
That was awesome. Daisy is so cute. Thanks for sharing.
well done on that days effort..It looks a productive place to visit..
It is always fun to check out a new spot.
What type of rock/crystal was the original mine after?
Beryl and Feldspar
@@meMiner Cheers mate!
WHERE IS THIS PLACE LOCATED AT, IS THERE MAP OR PHONE NUMBER, WHAT STATE IS THIS, THANK YOU FOR SHARING, JUST STARTED MY ROCK COLLECTIONS, JENNY MARTINEZ, FROM THE ISLAND GUAM!
It is in eastern Ontario (Canada), north of Bancroft
Awesome to see the specimen of peristerite on the board, color and shine is dead on for something I found a couple weeks ago that I think folks have been confusing with moonstone in the location I was digging.
Moonstone is the generic name. Lovely stuff. I hope to cab some this winter to see how it looks cut and polished
@@meMiner thank you for the clarification. Almost all of the feldspar at the location I've been digging is the pink potassium stuff rather than albite or translucent. do you know offhand if there's a separate designation for potassium feldspars with similar iridescent appearance or is it all under that same classification?
@@SkateSoup same as far as I know
And of course you explained everything I asked by the end of the video, sorry for getting ahead of things while trying to watch in pieces. Thanks for putting up with my impatience. :) Looks like you had a really successful day, the contrast between the beryl and the host rock is gorgeous. This spot gets added to my "if I ever get up to canada to rockhound" list for sure. Thanks for sharing the adventure. :)
@@SkateSoup Well, make that list "if I ever get to eastern Ontario". Canada is pretty big. LOL
Nice! Thank you for sharing
Thanks much Michelle

I love your videos I also love finding fossils and minerals I have a huge collection of crystals and fossils at home
Great meetyouthere. Thanks for joining us.
I'm jealous. I don't know of any place in the US like that!
Lots of Americans make a trip to this area and go home with rocks. ;-)
I might go on Saturday I’ll probably get there at 10:30
Have fun.
Looks like a wonderland to me! Thanks.
I agree. A pretty neat place.
Cool little adventure.😎
We had a blast, especially once the rain really came down and washed up the rocks
@ the 7:13 mark it looks like a ring on the ground just above center frame.
dang
Wow you have good eyes.
