Wow! This is so enlightening! These are all absolutely lovely instruments! That being said, if I narrowed it down to two guitars, I would choose the Martin Blackwell Doubletop and the Steven Walter Lattuce. Now, the one that "speaks to me" (absolutely subjective) is the Walter... I am in love with the sound that guitar produces. It is so beautiful, as is your sensitive playing!
Appreciate the time you put into the video. The Blackwell comes closest to what I like in a guitar; warm sound. The others I find either a bit too bright, have a hard sound, or are shouting at me rather than singing.
I think we can agree that all the guitars in this video sound gorgeous. They’re such unique beings: they sing differently, and excel at different things. There are no 2 guitars alike, not even by the same maker. I am happy to see people liking different guitars for all valid reasons. I say let’s pick the one that speaks to our heart 😌 Bravo Evan not just for the juicy notes, but also for the super editing!! Made listening to the same piece fun!
Thanks man!!! You’re totally right. We talk about this all the time, have our preferences, and then yet again we’re surprised by guitars. See you soon 🍻
To me, definitely the Steven Walter sounds fantastic, as I've played that guitar I remember how comfortable, balanced and sweet it is... The other guitars are fantastic too, but again: the Walter has everything ❤. Fantastic playing as always, my bro.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed! I actually tried to adjust the audio levels a bit so they appear equal. I find that having the mics so close to the guitar gives an unfair idea of perceived loudness, since there isn’t much distance for the sound to prove its potency, if you will. Thanks for writing!!
I was blown away by the Blackwell…and then the Brück came in and stole the show. Which feels the nicest to play? (I have a funny cat appearance practice vid. Did not even know it happened until I went back to go over the vid.)
I totally get it!!! It’s tough to say- they are all easy playing guitars, and all excel in different aspects. That’s the right question though - it’s all about playing what makes you feel comfortable, and comfortable making music!
@@evantaucher it’s interesting what everyone looks for I. The sound of a guitar. Me, I’m all about color. How many colors does a guitar produce? Colors creates depth IMO. But I have a bit of chromesthesia. I literally see color and movement when I listen to music. I was floored when I found out that is not how everyone perceives it.

What a great idea for a video! I think I prefer the Steven Walter, with the Martin Blackwell in second. I'll take one of each! 😀

As always love your videos Evan Terrific. The Walter is more focused but for me the overall tone and surround sound is the Blackwell and Bruck.

Btw, your cat is actually slightly out of tune, might consider adjusting his strings
He’s going to *be* the strings if he doesn’t act right.

Fantastic playing as always, my bro.
Thanks so much Pablo ❤️
Great video, really. In this case, my choice is the Blackwell. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the kind words!
Beautiful tones.
Many thanks!
Blackwell seems to be loudest. Miller seems to have the best sound. Great audio!
