I grew up watching Halo 3 and playing reach in MLG, and I gotta say, this definitely looks like Halo to me. I don't care what anybody else says, this makes me wanna pick up a controller and hop into matchmaking.

Halo 5 is incredible. Halo 3 was also incredible but because of 3 mixed with nostalgia, people are stuck in the past. Halo 5 Is going to be one of “those” games that wasn’t appreciated because of its past.

The settings for Halo 5 got better over time but it was too little too late. Having Autos and radar on launch for the first couple of seasons of HCS was a bad idea imo.

Call of duty is an easy game that's why he was able to transfer so easily. If a cod player tried to switch to halo he would get stomped.

on a spectators stand point, infinite doesnt match this game. I love the switch back to the old Bungie art style but gameplay wise I wish 343 would've doubled down on this, for a game that was so "shit" its kinda ironic it had the second highest player retention in the series on a console that wasnt doin so hot
The gameplay is just so fluid & the pacing is honestly really good. Halo 5 totally needs some type of revival like a proper PC port. It's so damn good.
Man halo 5 is the game which makes me wish I was on xbox rather than pc in 2015-18, thankfully been playing infinite since launch

Completely new to halo I’m sadden that I’ve never experienced the heat of it when it was like THE THING but oh well I got master chief collection and will be playing that and so far the halo 5 I’ve just been using it for multiplayer. Great game can’t wait for infinite.

It does suck and it's cod with shields. Time to kill is insanely shorter than any previous game. It's a twitch shooter with a halo skin on it. It's the reason viewership is nonexistent. Please show me a pro halo game that is actually watchable. I wanted to get into halo 5 HCS but it's impossible similar problems to why futurecods was a mess don't know why 343 adopted them.
If you want your scene to grow and not have orgs pull out then you need convince people to come back.
I could have came up with more innovative and unique multiplayer mechanics to halo 4 and 5 that occurred through 1-3. Instead 343i decided to copy cod. Both decent games though with good story. Just not halo.

I never played Halo 5, but im not a fan of Pistols as the primary. Halo competitive too me is the Battle Rifle or the DMR from Halo Reach. Its way more entertaining, but that's just my 2cents.
Edit: Halo 2 had the best feeling BR, Halo 3 was decent but inconsistent.

Okay so i stopped playing Halo after the glory days of Halo Reach... how come they’re only given Pistols to start with? Where’s the AR? The BR? I’m confused

Pistol is meta, BR is nerfed to the ground. Pistol is the best weapon and very balanced. You land your shots or miss.

Is the Battle Rifle not worth picking up? I saw a lot of people just running past them and keep using their magnums.
Magnum has a faster Time to kill and BR's have a lot of vertical recoil which can be hard to 4 shot people in 5. It's alright as a back-up, but it isn't worth it over the Magnum or the Tactical Magnum.
Also, 343 recently made major changes to the way weapons fire by implementing bloom. People complained in the H5 Beta that the BR felt too much like a single-shot-gun rather than a three-shot-burst. They continued tweaking the BR after the games release, ruining the weapon. The most consistent precision weapon currently in the game is the magnum. This is also why they removed the AR from competitive play. The magnum essentially made the gun redundant. Hope that answers your question :)

Turbo Music it’s to even out the fact that one team is in winners bracket and another is in losers. It’s a reset bracket. Because they lost before they have to win two series compared to splyce only having to win one

Game was fixed; Deflategate, bruh... MLG took some of the digital weight out of Splyce's bullets to allow for faster aerodynamics so that their bullets would travel faster/hit sooner.

When ur playing Hcs (halo championship series) mode, u begin only with pistols and no secondary weapon. Pls forgive the toxicity, they do not know what they do. In H5 the pistol is the most balanced weapon, the BR is slightly better in close range but is extremely difficult to pull off and the DMR has a slight accuracy advantage at a distance. Overall, although these weapons appear in the map, it's not worth it.
Splyce sound like over gratified matchmakers. Halo5 was a huge let down. If you compare Halo3 to Halo5 huge downfall for Gaurdians. Bungie will always be better than 343. Not sorry.

A mockery? Lmao. Halo 1 and 2 were good, the players were good, but this is a different level of skill. Halo 5 has such a high skill cap that someone who has almost 500 hours in match time can't keep Onyx, which is the comp tier.

Maybe, fast pace fps have existed long before halo. The slow pace is what made halo stand out, since a kill required a higher skill rather than who shot first.

If the trend had continued like the step down from 2 to 3 a hypothetical Halo 5 in that timeline would be more than twice as popular as the real one. More popular than Reach, the beginning of the end of Halo. In terms of popularity Reach was a joke compared to 3 and 5 is a joke compared to Reach. The numbers say that either Halo was doomed to go down like this either way - doubtful because the trend is anything but smooth - or the changes made starting with Reach had a negative impact.
This game really isent halo anymore. reach wasent halo either. halo is now a mix of cod. halo was good the way is was. it was really popular at one time.halo used to be unique.now its kinda like cod. and it’s why the player base isent that big anymore.
The only thing that similar to call of duty in H5 is sprinting. No lithe game can compare to halo with it's competitive strategy and pacing.
It's a shame halo fanboys can't see what 343 has done with halo 5's gameplay. It feels soooo good.
It's actually kinda true, I'm a halo vet and was skeptical about the changes but now I'm onyx in 4 ranked playlists and I'm still addicted. It's still halo but evolved😉

I'm so glad I got to watch and pay this game in its prime (year two/three). This game was my life during that time and I've been getting back into it despite being a terrible low diamond player.
