Leonardo Sergio I know dude... It makes me cringe when anybody actually tries to defend 343i’s attempts at Halo... like seriously dude? Lmao. No comparison, they raped the core mechanics, focused on all the wrong shit, made Elites look FUCKING RETARDED: their jaws literally could bite their fucking eyeballs out! (How the fuck did they get approved?!), they lost their muscular sleekness, and now look more like straight Brutes. They also made them seem WAY less intelligent, and made them emotionally and mentally like the Brutes. Complete disregard for the established gameplay mechanics, art style, and lore.
They had to make up some convoluted ass bulk shot story claiming there were TWO Didacts, because otherwise their utter shite storyline just could not work. Now that’s stupid as fuck. Anyway, I digress.
The worst part is, I NEVER OWNED HALO 3 or CE. Never even played them. But my friends did, I read the books and played Halo 2. I know exactly how amazing and important these games are.
I just summarize in one word: Sprint.

Its 2020 and i remember 8th grade all nighters pushing to the 50 in team slayer. I miss this all so much. I remember when the population was A million people, i remember the horribly toxic but memorable lobbies. I miss it all so much.
I was in 10th grade when halo 3 was released. Spent countless hours playing halo 3 big team, mlg 4v4, and so many customs. I miss this days so much. Literally staying up all night every weekend playing halo 3, and then switching to COD4 MW. We had both those games in their prime at the same time. We will never experience something like that ever again. A perfect moment in time before all the ads, social media, and streamers.

Halo 3 was arguably the greatest competitive FPS of all time right along CS. It defined MLG, now the new halo MLG is wack i can't get into it shits so corny. I haven't gamed since reach came out. Killed it for me. RIP

+Carl B 343 basically gave the series life tho. Halo 5 currently has the highest average active players since halo 2. It's one of the most successful games in the franchise. Gameplay wise, it's meh. Matchmaking is okay, but the campaign was booty butt cheeks.
I don't even like 343, but they did something right, I guess. I'll give her the 10's where they are due.

You joined a game, and the playing field was COMPLETELY level. It came down to true skill. Player movement, timing, accuracy, communication. These new games do not have these sort of aspects in them and it sucks!

H3 in its prime, like 2007-8, is the best console shooter multiplayer experience of all time. Modern shit is too easy. If you got your 50 with out a booster you were a god. An onyx in H5 doesn't carry the same weight as a 50 did. Imo at least.

I was a doubles 50 first, then got a 5 star in the playlist when the update came out. Nothing looked more intimidating than matching 2 50 5 stars, the simple days.
Halo should of stayed like this just up the graphics and weekly updates. It would be like Counter strike. Reach split the community and every game after just split it more.
@Joseph Smith well I agree with you to an extend but keeping the game same is not always a good thing, people start to get bored and you know repetitive. There will be no anticipation or hype for the next game. 343 just needs to innovate smartly, they just gotta listen to the community. Overall, I miss competitive halo, the community back in the Bungie days and Halo in general but I think 343's next Halo installment will be great. We just gotta "BELIEVE"
But in Halo Infinite I want the gameplay to be similar to Halo 3 and bring back old maps like guardian, last resort, pit etc.

You ever play against a person like that? All skill and fun in the game is completely taken out of it. Or of course the people who grab the cloaking armor ability in reach, and grab the sword and hide around a corner, not much skill there either.
Or like one guy I knew, who bragged about his "Skill" in Reach, in which his "Skill" was hopping in a tank and blowing my pistol wielding self straight to hell as I tried to blow the cockpit off of the tank to get a shot at him cause he had his cannon watching the spawnpoint of the rocket launcher.
Those kinds of people take all of the skill out of the game. So your comment was unnecessarily rude.

Well, the game sounds like it still has the basic idea of Halo. That being that each time you get into a shoot out, you have to actually think your way out of it. That is why I like Halo over Call of Duty. Call of Duty, it is all about who has the faster trigger finger, and the stronger weapon. All you gotta do really to win in that game is push the trigger a split second faster than your opponent, and you win.
Halo, however, each interaction with an enemy is a little challenge of its own, which makes it a lot more fun.

I don’t want to sound like a halo boomer but when I look at halo 5 multiplayer gameplay I just don’t understand it. There’s too much shit going everywhere. In the older halls they got it just right. Bungie seriously knew how to make a simple yet iconic and ground breaking game. Even more impressive that it’s a console shooter and it became the success it did
Damn man, this just randomly popped in my feed and the nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks. I was there for this event and it was by far one of the best childhood memories I had . Thank god I got to experience this golden era of online gaming, nothing compares even to this day.

We only thought it would keep getting better. But we didn’t realize we were living thru the golden era of halo. It was truly amazing and so happy I got to experience all of halo 2 and halo 3 in their prime from 2004 - 2010!!!

Honestly, Halo 2 was sick. It was fun, it was for teenagers, and it was a banger. Halo 3 came out and it became more about team-work, game-play, skill, and heart. You can tell all of this just by way maps are and the area's players are at a certain point. Everything after, i.e., Halo 5, is just all media and money. Not a fan. You can even see a difference from the game-play and commentary. I miss going over to my mate's crib with 3 XL pizza's, 2 4-pack monsters, and 24pak mountain dew and would switch off between Runescape and Halo 3 matchmaking.

Halo 2 required more skill than 3 lol halo 2 was broken with glitches and the bxr, double shot was a big advantage to players that could master those.
They fucked up when they did away with the Halo 3 ranking system.

Halo Reach was not as bad of a downgrade as the later ones to come, but holy fuck. Halo 4 was a fucking joke. It was so god damn bad that I took the disc out and broke it in a bunch of pieces and threw it away.
A few years after that my 360 got RRoD. and Sadly, it had to go. but I will never forget the memories I had in my childhood on this game and also reach, even though halo 3 was better I still had fun on halo reach. nevertheless this video just makes u wanna cry :) caius these days will never come back.

sikander hayat The new graphics are amazing, especially for a 360 game, the only problem is that it feels so far from what Halo is/was. Even Reach felt like a major departure. I want them to keep the upgrade in graphics, but go back to the main trilogy's color pallet. It had the perfect feel.
