Waiting to hear a conclusion to this bird. It’s in my cart. Or I was considering the dynamic. When I saw your dynamic maiden video, I don’t think I have ever heard you react to a Heli like that😂
I can honestly tell you I have never flown a helicopter. That was that perfect since my RAW 580. The Dnamic is an amazing 700 light Heli. I’m really excited to see how this Heli performs!
Yes!! Let’s get it. Another Tron build video. Back-to-back 🤘🏼
Yes sir! More Trons in the Future!?
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I think yes 😎
I love this heli and will own onw of these one day . Great video I will watch again when I build one of these thank you
I hope the videos are helpful when you do get your Tron. So far, it is a very nice machine.
Cool another build, you do well the cram in the build within the time you give for the video. Like the tip of CA on the screws for plastic 👍🏻
@@DadsRCHangar thank you buddy! I try and fit as much stuff into this videos as possible! Yes, loctite eats plastic so never use it on anything plastic.
Finally found the video bro 🤣 Thanks for the awesome build videos. C'mon Gemini!😁
@@kaidok9314 I’m glad you found it! Part two will be up on Monday!
Can't wait to see it in the air! I'm still deciding between this and the nimbus for an upgrade
I’m hoping maiden flight will happen this weekend. I will let you know my experience between the two after I fly it and I can compare them.
Interested in if you will be doing a build on the raw 420 competition I know you’ve done a lot with original raw 420 but just picked up a kit and getting ready to build it
I did just get in a RAW 420 competition to build for a customer. I wasn’t going to do a full build series, but I might.
Beginning to think this is just a commercial for Loctite 🤔
@@Dethgato5060 😂 maybe I should get paid for using it!
love these tron heli's and even its name is punchy. I am trying to switch to radiomaster and ditch futaba so for me the nexus FBL and the RP3-h reciever will be what i will have a play with...another great video
@@andyMSH700 me too! They have been fantastic builds! Can’t wait to fly this one! That’s good to hear! Have you setup and flown a Nexus FBL yet? What’s your thoughts?
@@westhobbiesrc8051 . I have setup an omp m4 max with Nexus and got it to hover but my nexus unit is faulty as it suddendly changes flight characteristics without any configuration changes in rotorflight configutator...weird. Radiomaster support are a nightmare to deal with and refuse to acknowledge the unit is faulty. My thoughts on nexus are the following: i have a love hate relationship with it as i am a 3d capable pilot ok yet not at the smack 3d level and never will be or want to be so you are left wondering at the effort to get Nexus configured. I changed to radiomaster TX16s and internal elrs version so the nexus works very well with this setup as telemetry like rpm current and voltage and so on works very well. I did try and ditch nexus and go back to the brain 2 fbl unit and somehow use the crossfire protocol with the RP3-H reciever but there is nothing out there that I can find which is showing me anything about telemetry with this config so i am stuck in this loive hate relationship with Nexus. I am stuck with Nexus so i hope as it evolves with new firmware that half the menues are masked out for heli....they need to make a special FW for heli in my opinion so all those thousands of options would be masked out .
Oh it has a FBL head too..
BK Hobbies eh? what's your connection? Bert's a pretty good heli guy! 👍
Jeff is now one of the BK Hobbies team pilots
I am now a BK team pilot. Originally when I filmed this video, it was going to go on Bert channel, but we decided to post it on my channel and it was already filmed lol
great to see you and bkhobbies teaming up!
@@mikefuchs2814 thank you Mike, it was a long time coming but I’m glad we did!
I wonder what is the best of tron 5.8 or dnamic og this orion😂
So I can’t comment on the 5.8 as I’ve never flown the electric version the nitro was really good. But it will be interesting to see which one flies better I’m really hoping it flies Just like the dnamic but smaller.
hey jeff, now you have to give your opinion how it compares to the sab raw 580 after you fly this new tron orion.......thanks
@@Ricky_Lee63 hello! Don’t worry! I definitely will. Looking forward to it. Just waiting on my blades to get here so I can fly it.
Will there be a part 2 coming out?
@@user-wt8uj5db8z part 2 has been put. It was posted one week after this video.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 Thanks!
Does the kit include servo arms?
@@wesscollette no it does not
Which arms are you using?
@@wesscollette theta servo horns. But u would use SAB horns.
Oooofff, that issue with the drive shaft....
I'm not in agreement on your solution/workaround.
A: How did you do it
B: I know you did it, but is there any further validation you can share please
C: Is getting Type C shaft ok or too narrow on the diameter now?
It just seems like your backed into a corner of grinding away and that is a serious design flaw in this helicopter.
Or can I consider an alternate motor?
@@kajuta240 it’s a easy fix, some what normal on some motor shafts not having the flat spot in the right place. Just filed the flat spot up a little higher, very simple solution to the problem. The only issue with C shaft is to short but it will work as I know someone who used a B shaft but I’m pretty sure he had to file the flat spot higher as well. It’s not a helicopter issue at all.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 Thanks for the reply!
I reached out to Tron, want to explore if using washers as a SHIM to drop the shaft into place will be acceptable or different motor recommendations entirely.
Shimming of course, throws the mounting depth of the bolt off and not desirable either.
I'm not an engineer, but seems like there has to be better solution than the corner they painted people into.
I really want the Gemini as my next in line after the Venom; just want to seal all doubts before I start to do this to some spinning blades of death.
Any other power plant manufacturers come to mind instead that won't have this issue?
I would favor Efficiency and Torque over anything else as long as it's in the 6s-8s range.
@@kajuta240 coming from someone that cuts, shaves, grinds motor shafts all the time it’s normal. You are not doing any harm or damage to the shaft by moving the flat spot up. It’s a very simple and easy way to do it. I have videos with cutting the motor shaft down, etc. I just did it on a $1100 motor yesterday. I would not shim the motor. I would file the shaft before shimming the motor. Because you are spacing the plate above what it is designed to be mounted to create a torque effect which can put all the stress on the bolts. There is a ton of Orion and Gemini flying right now with absolutely no issues.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 Thanks for taking time to consider and reply thoughtfully.
I spoke with BK and Tron reps this weekend as well; all three of you concur ...Im redundant :)
We all want safety as our primary consideration thankfully!
Electric yuck.. My Old Raptor 90 3D heli can do anything this heli can do.. Long live the nitro heli's Oh my gasser too..
@@user-ui9pk8zv9o I highly doubt that. Power is number one.
