Our life with Autism

Hello everyone! I hope your summer is wonderful, happy, warm, and fun!
I wanted to explain what our life was like after autism came into the picture, and how it feels to wake up one morning to find your child significantly different than when he went to bed. At least that's how it feels. The change is sudden and drastic, and you find yourself searching for anything to explain why what happen did happen.
Thankfully, there is light at the end of the table. For all those people who believe a child like mine cannot learn, grow, and change, Dale is firsthand proof that work, therapy, and finding the proper balance and medication can work wonders. He came so far in the last five years, I can only imagine what he will be like in the next five years!
I feel lucky every day to be his mother!
