Many thanks for this great review! Let me explain the reference of the bull logo embroidery and what a reverse sateen means.
The bull logo is a simplified version of the bull's skull that we have been using in our Japanese made jeans since the start of our brand in 2013, which you can still find on various patches and on the pocket flasher of all JP jeans. The bull was chosen as a sort of mascot that goes hand in hand with the slogan on that pocket flasher, 'Jeans for the modern day cowboy'. Fun fact: it's modeled after the longhorn skull prominently hanging in our studio in Amsterdam.
A sateen twill is a construction with at least 4 warp yarns going over 1 weft yarn, a.k.a. 4 by 1 (traditional denim has a 3 by 1 construction, as well as the hickory stripe fabric in this video). Because of the higher amount of yarns going over, it creates a shine effect, a typical feature of sateen twills. The reason why this specific fabric is referred to as 'reversed', is because it doesn't have 4 warp yarns going over, but going under the weft, creating the shine on the inside, or reverse, of the fabric. This gives it a bit rougher appearance on the outside, which we like! Lots of military fabrics use this same construction, hence the name 10 oz. military sateen.

I really like that shirt. At first I thought that the cloth was heavy for a shirt, but as a jacket it would be great. Really nice, and love the color.

Thanks, it is very soft and a reasonable weight, bit of a departure from other items in my wardrobe, so looking forward to using it as the weather gets warmer!

I've got a pair of their selvedge chinos, and the 8oz indigo Chambray shirt. Both excellent quality, very well made.

Very nice stuff and love your reviews. I’ve been keen on higher rise trousers/jeans and shorter length tees/jackets lately cause I think that vintage proportions look better on me and in general.
Regardless, appreciate the content, cool to see the goods up close and personal!

Agree, although it would mean a lot more stock needing to be held, it seems common in the denim world to go for a single (long) length and then hem at point of sale, for example Samurai, Iron Heart etc.

The chinos are nice I don’t really dig the shirt. Maybe it’s just not my style.

It is a change from my normal indigo soaked wardrobe, but I think kinda cool for the summer
