raine really threw a mask on, didn't change their clothes or disguise their blue hair or voice and still had the audacity to be shocked when eda immediately recognized them lol

Given that earlier in the episode they also showed confidence, then they were ready to sacrifice themself for the greater good, and they took on two other coven heads alone (a mix of confidence and lack of self preservation), neither one is a stretch.

Anyone else notice that Raine is basically the anti Double Trouble.
Raine has a bad case of stage fright while DT LOVES being the center of attention. Raine is kind of a $#!t liar while DT is pathological liar. And while both betray those they're working with they do so for different reasons, Raine for moral reasons and DT because the enemy paid better. Even their method of helping those close to them is different with Raine encourging Eda to be with her family and DT gives Catra a Reason You Suck Speech is clearly also enjoying breaking Catra's spirit.
Can you imagine if these two ever met, the shy bard vs. HK-47 in fleshy form. That could be AMAZING! :D

Okay I really want people to clarify to me that they’re loving Raine for multiple reasons and not simply because they’re non-binary because if that is the case then that’s incredibly shallow

I love their voice
I can relate to them on their fear
And they can be super badass.
Very intelligent as well.
And they are a huge softie
I think their stage fright is both relatable and adorable, the dialogue when they're being awkward is written and acted really well, I really like their voice overall, I like their dynamic with Eda, I like their design, I really like them being a bard and preforming magic with music, I like how intelligent they are and how they joined the emperor's coven to stop the day of unity, and this last one might just be my bias towards the self-sacrifice trope, but I really admire how they let themself get captured to help Eda escape. There's some smaller stuff I left out, but I think you get the idea.
I love Raine for a lot of reasons and them being non-binary is just the cherry on top.
