Hello G. Love the '75 set. Too bad there weren't more of those. Totally agree with you about a majority of the '70s sets, although the '71 and '75 sets are iconic.
Well, for someone who may not be super keen on 1970s sets, you're doing pretty well! My favorite set of that decade is the 1970 set - in my opinion, the last classic Topps set. After that, they started "kid-ifying" the sets. They did the same thing with children's television. Think about the transition from Captain Kangaroo and Sandy Becker to Sesame Street. That said, I don't dislike 1970s cards. They just could have been more creative. The generic white outsides with those dull backs, which they continued into the 80s, really got tiring.
duuuuuuuuuuuuuude!! you def nailed it.. i feel like they just kept those 70s cards plain jane.. however, the 70,71,72,75 70s topps set are def my 4 favorite, everything else is a tie as i dont find them as appealing lol..
Nice share mikey. Pretty cool you get these 70s cards in bulk. 79 topps has some serious hit and miss images to me. Same with 75 topps. Hope you can fill the team binders as well. Enjoyed
I have already finished 1974-1979 so I try not to bid on any 70's lot. You are getting close to that point. Good that you can upgrade some of the ones you already have.
i cant wait until i finish 74-79 so i def wont buy anymore more of those cards, they get kinda annoying after while cause there soo much of it out there lol.
1974 set has variations that say washington-ntl instead of padres, and for the A's J Alou is missing his position on the front top right instead of outfield it is blank
ohh i didnt know about the J Alou variant, i knew of the wash/san diego variant. ill have to double check those cards though, but man it feels like a job sorting them out lol
Even though you have a majority of those, there is just something about going through big lots like these. So fun. I can’t wait to see how many cards you pulled for sets and team sets. I’m working on 78s and I think I need around 100 cards to complete it.
Geez Mikey, that's a lot of cards to go through. LOL A lot of those cards look in very nice condition, so it's cool that you might be able to upgrade some that you already have.
Dang, bro, great purchase. That is a ton of cards! I hope you were able to fill those binders up! My 70s sets are filling up. I still need a bunch of 1970 cards, but I'm trying to finish off 79 and work backward. A bunch of the lots I buy have no stars in them. It's like folks buy the lots just to pull the good cards and then sell off the commons. Cool video, Mikey!
hahaa i feel you on that man not having stars with lots and when there is stars, those lots sell for alot more than what they should lol.. but its okay, im okay with that. i like finding star players at card shows, since i know i dont buy el benchos there.
no i havent bought any of those penny sleeves yet, i still have them on my watch list, i have a few travel trips, when i get back full force, then ill pick them up. i like to be home to recieve packages and im in and out for the next few weeks right now with work.

i know, wish there was way more HOFers but it was as expected. so im okay with that.
Hey brotha, did you get a chance try them premium card sleeves?
no i havent bought any of those penny sleeves yet, i still have them on my watch list, i have a few travel trips, when i get back full force, then ill pick them up. i like to be home to recieve packages and im in and out for the next few weeks right now with work.
Are 75s mini version?
thankfully not, i am not collecting the 75 minis, im not a fan of weird size cards since i like them all looking the same.
