@@geezmikey Well yeah, It was your Idea... 😆 And, besides I've been looking for a system that'll cut countless hours into organizing. So far this works for now.
Brilliant, Mikey! Your method of organising them is unique, and that's what's great! There should be no uniform way that people organise their collection, but it should be tailored to how the individual's brain is wired - if that means Christian name first, and surname last, then that's what you should do. 👍 Personally, I MUCH prefer seeing the cards in binders, as opposed to seeing the cards slabbed and in boxes/draws. With this said, do you find that storing in binders has a detrimental impact on the condition of the cards over time (if the card isn't first put in a 'penny' sleeve), given issues such as humidity and other climate conditions over time can case issues? If so, what measures, if any, do you take to mitigate this? Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing your collection with us! Great to see your collection grow!
thank you, ive been collecting a long time now and i just want simple formats to know where ever card is at for one, and two.. every card belongs in a binder!!!!!!!!!!!! lol my opinion.. speaking of which.. No, i have had no issues with humidity or anything such as, i do try to help protect what evers in my binder by adding an extra layer or pocket pages with filler cards to help prevent cards from bending from just sitting. but also add penny sleeves to help beef it up too. thats the only problem i ever had was just that.
These binders look really cool that way you have them by year..😍😮 Love how it's stacked with hof and star players together..🎉🤗 Good stuff Mikey.. Take care..👍❤🔥👊
72nd video like - Another great video, Mikey. Really neat to see how you are organizing your collection. You are right, very time-consuming process. The sorting and organizing never ends! But that is part of the fun of collecting. Keep up the great videos!
organizing is what makes the collecting and hobby fun! well for those who take the time to do it, most people have their cards put away in boxes never to be seen again lol..
Here's a challenge, How bout do a binder with nothing but 2nd year super & semi stars. On a personal note: Im working on a project of collecting graded R.O.Y. The catch is im only collecting nothing but Topps and Bowman Chrome and Chrome Refractor products. From 2000-2023. So far I have 7 A.L. and 9 N.L. Most in 10's and 9.5. Most expensive so far was you all know Trout, Harper, and Ohtani! Unfortunately the Trout was a SGC 8 Bowman Chrome But i did remember he wasnt a R.O.Y Nominee till 2012. So i picked up a Chrome PSA 9 for a ridiculous price on ebay. Anyhow, just thought I'd share that with you. I know i got long ways to go. But at 45 i still have plenty of time to live, and enjoy life, loving my favorite hobby grow. Anyhow, thanks for sharing your ideas, tips, and tricks on making our hobby fun again! 🇺🇲 An God Bless Baseball ⚾😅
that actually sounds quite interesting way of collecting a "theme" kuddos to that my dude, you can def do some damage. i couldnt start anything like that right now because i have way too many themes going as is, but slowly when i start knocking some out, i will be considering doing something similar to what youre doing.
@@geezmikey Hey Thanks, It was just a fruit for thought, Anyhow I myself don't have enough time either, with work, my Xbox and family activities. Unfortunately My hobby only gets 15% of my monthly attention. Although, I did buy more binders and sleeves on eBay. I'm open to ideas, and that's what led me to your UA-cam channel. Thanks to your videos, my collection may start to have some character. I do have a few themes, why not have a binder full of athletes that committed crimes and murders!! "Let that soak into your imagination" From the liles of Vincent Coleman, Milton Bradley, Julio Machado, Aaron Hernandez, to OJ Simpson, Ray Lewis, or Marvin Harrison. Or even victims of murder "Steve McNair" etc.... I call it "MurderBall".. sounds pretty sick yeah... 🤔 Let me know, your thoughts 💭
Yo Mikey binders are looking fresh! Always giving me great ideas on how too organize my binders……87 and 88 topps looking sweet. That’s what I grew up on 🤷🏻♂️
Reorganizing cards is fun, right? My new project is going to involve a lot of reorganization. I've decided to put together a Master collection of Oakland Athletics cards from 1968-1997. Every A's card from those three decades! Almost 18,000 cards! I already have a few thousand cards so I have a good head start. They will be organized alphanumerically by year/brand/set/etc in binders. Am I crazy? Don't answer that! Lol.
hahaha and thats only 1968 to 1997.. wait until you finish that and start doing the WHOLE FRANCHISE! i did that with my dodgers binder. oldest card i have in there i believe is a 1939 playball. i also narrowed it down to only TOPPS cards post 1980 as the 90s 00s have way too many products.
I’ve seen a lot of way to organize but never by first name. Whatever works is what’s best. Years ago I tried to do this by last name but the first time I got a new Hank Aaron card and had to move every card over by one I realized it wasn’t for me. Haha. Love your system on the shelves though.
hahahaa the struggles is def real, because i have that problem of having to move over cards all the time! but thats what makes collecting fun. helps enjoy those binders!
You’ve been busy Mikey! Coming along nicely and good idea doing stars and HOFers instead of the whole set. Btw, you definitely need more Pedro Martinez rookies 😁
Hold up, @GeezMikey... so, if you get a 1987 Topps player whose first name falls between Andre and Barry (for example), does that mean you remove and shift all the cards starting with Barry Bonds?
lol that is correct.. however, i dont look at it like that.. i look at it more as in.. i get to enjoy my cards/binders as i get to often move things around!
It would give me a headache trying to organize by first name - let's say you need to insert another sammie sosa, so you're going to add another page or move all the cards where sammy comes after? And imagine doing that for new card pickups - madness
lol.. well you see, thats the fun part of doing it by first names.. it helps enjoy your cards/binders 100 times more, meaning lets say you finish a binder, how often are you going to look at the same cards after?? when your constantly adding cards, it helps enjoy looking and flippin through those pages and enjoying what you have built.
Organizing by 1st name was a genius idea! 😄 Thanks!!
It definitely saved me many hours. 👍
hahaa is that how youre doing it also?? it works greatly for me, at a time where it was hard to find a card.. nope, not no more!

doesnt it make you appreciate those junk wax era cards alittle bit more seeing all the stars/hofers together!
Impressive wall of binders! Organization is such a major part of collecting & I dig yo style 🥃
thats the best part of the hobby/collecting is knowing where everything is at to show it off lol..

I am getting ready to pull all my doubles out and start getting rid of them. I will be happy with just the set binders from 1953-1979.
those doubles you have, you can easily sell them on ebay to help pay for some bigger names! the pros of set building cards too!
Nice share Mikey. Always nice and organized. Enjoyed buddy.
i try to keep it as simple as possible!

Very cool my friend. Nice idea. Lots of work
the struggle is real man, never ending work!
I like it! I’ve changed my mind so many times on how to organize but I guess that’s what makes it fun right?
lol the struggle is real, because i have the same problem too..

hahaa not sure how i have soo many!
Looks great
thank you!
Well done 👍
thank you!
I saw the couple checklist cards at the end of the last binder. You should do a binder of nothing but checklist cards. That would be unique.
maybe when i get more checklists on hand ill consider that, ii did give it some thought at one time.. never went anything beyond that.
Damn bro, you're card busy!
lol i had to take a break man! i did all that in a week!
Looks good.
Binder work is never complete.
I want to reorganize several of my PR binders.
never ending story of binders organizing.. if you re organize your PR binders, make sure you do it in a week you have nothing going on lol
looking good
thank you!
Nice idea 😂😂😂
lol
Toodles great video
thank you sir! lol tootles!
Buy the binders with zippers to keep out dust
i did consider that, however i cant play arts and crafts with the binders with zippers. those are made differently
Sicko! I lost one of my binders. No clue. 1960's era Non-sport. Ouch.
im sure its under all those ttm post cards you have on your table! lol

@@geezmikey and potentially damaging the cards with shuffling them around so often. maybe when i was 8 and didnt have anything else better to do lol
