6:53 just a note coming from an audio engineer. The human ear typically cannot hear any frequency above 20KHz, it's possible very few under the age of 15 can hear some frequencies between 20-22k, but for anyone over the age of 18, 20KHz is pretty much a hard cut-off point. Awesome review Caleb! You deserve more subs/views, your reviews are very high quality! I own the black shark v2 pro and LOVE IT! Is your custom EQ in the razer synapse software meant for gaming/footsteps?
Thank you very much! I'm glad you are enjoying it so far! You can adjust it however you want in the software, setting your own curves and tuning the drivers how you would like. So you could bring out those highs more for footsteps or make the mix more bass heavy, just really whatever you want, which is the great thing about having software to hop into.
I have never used it so will have to look into it some more but cant really give you my personal opinion without having tested it. I have used SteelSeries headsets before though and have always thoroughly enjoyed them.
I fucking love my gpro x but got bored so I’m getting the black sharks I’ll check back in with my opinion on which I think is better by next week Great quality content , liked and subbed 👍🏾
@Yousef Alsammarraie honestly the gpro x is really good for that and even better if you use it on pc But I use these headphones for gaming listening to music and mixing music and it works perfectly for all that With the gpro I can accurately pin point footstep direction in any game The sound stage is really good and the guns sound good too I’ll let u know once I get the black sharks I’m buying those today
@Yousef Alsammarraie hey brother, checking back in So , so far . I think I’m returning these and keeping my gpros I just feel that the gpro build quality and mic is way better than the razor , tho if I didn’t already spend 50$ more I would have went with these instead because they are cheaper and the difference is negligible If your on a budget , razed Blackhawk is the way to go , But if you have the extra cash , get the gpro x , The wireless ones are more expensive but for a reason , hope this helped with your decision

@@MelElPuente @MEL0H What are your thoughts on the v2 pro's build? is the clamping force too light that it can fall of my head easily ? I appreciate your kind words bro . I hope you're safe and healthy aswell
I have tried the HyperX Cloud Alpha, the SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless, the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless and the Logitech G Pro X Wireless Headsets. The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless had the best sound out of the box. You get that bass punch in the middle of battle and the highs never had that screeching effect that can hurt your ears. But when playing Warzone, footsteps that sounded like they were coming from one direction were coming from the opposite. I tried the THX surround sound as well and that did not fix the problem. Whereas with the Logitech G Pro X Wireless, the sound wasn’t as good as the BlackShark, but you can change the EQ settings and I could pinpoint where every sound was coming from making me a much better player and fully aware of my surroundings. My opinion is if you play a lot of FPS games, go with the Logitech G Pro X Wireless because none of the other headsets I tried came close to the pinpoint accuracy of sound direction that the Pro X offers.
If you are using the GPRO X with the cloth ear cups I would say they are fairly similar. When you put the full pleather ones on the GPRO X though there is more sound cancelling, just due to the amount of pleather.
I feel that the Logitech Wireless G pro x Headset in terms of sound strength is a bit lacking, this is very important when playing FPS games like PUBG Steam, it's a shame that the volume button on Logitech is connected to the windows volume so that the sound power can't be maximized because it will be the same as the power volume in windows, even though headsets like the Coolermaster MH670 for the sound button on the headset are separate from the volume in windows so that the sound power can increase when the windows volume reaches 100%...
Virtuoso was my pick I almost picked one of these. I had them in my cart... but then did more reviews and found the virtuoso. I love em so far. Only had em 1 day. I'm sure the others would be fine as well.
I have a friend who owns virtuosos and he does not like them. They’re supposedly very uncomfortable. I got the blackshark v2 pro wireless for Black Friday this year, and so far they’re pretty good. The mic is far superior to the Logitech g pro wireless. The comfort is ok I think the cloth while not the most comfortable will hold up longer than the leatherette.
I like the video however you did show the mic settings available with sliders for the logitech and turned on the Blue Settings, while you ignored the extra settings the Razer Blackshark has. If you had previewed the settings and checked the boxes, then the mic would've had way more sliders and settings included. The amount that you ignored was almost as much as the Logitech Pro X.
Hows the blackshark v2 vs hyperx cloud 2 ? for music only, I honestly don't care much about gaming but gaming headsets seems to be more affordable so yup...
I own a Logitech Pro X (non wireless) and a Razer Blackshark V2 Pro and let me tell you something VERY IMPORTANT the logitech headset would be the perfect headset for me BUT they are really uncomfortable because the clamping on the head is soooo hard at the point it gave my heaadeaches everytime I spent more than 1 hour with them on so because of that I had to buy the blackshark v2 pro and boi I do love them had no issues at all and I can tell the audio and mic quality its the same for me although I prefer the mic quality of the blackshark v2
Don’t be too fast with yours conslusions, because in my case blackshark v2 pro makes so much sore for my ears…unfortunately i gotta return them and constate the fact that blacksharks are made from cheap materials which you can easily pick up from the weird smell out of the box…

I got the black sharks. I’ve been using them for several months but have switched to other headset (Astro a40 with mix amp). here are my thoughts: - for competitive FPS like warzone I found astros to have better quality than what I could get with THX spatial audio. I played a lot with EQs - very comfortable headset, super light snd looks great - wireless first is kind of annoying - I could be a total idiot but I never figured out how to get spatial audio working in a wired mode. - mic captures lots of breathing even with cover. Have to remember to put away from mic. Software noise cancelling isn’t the best. - thx spatial audio settings are strange to configure - you have to configure it through razer synapse and the software isn’t great or sophisticated as Astro command center
Dang I bought the blackshark at retail but I think it's great, especially if you have other razer products. It's so handy to see everything in one software.

So razer decided mimic basically the HyperX cloud and this is why the clamping force is so small . Even though compared to other headsets I found it to be really really big and kinda bothered me when I first got them .
So you could bring out those highs more for footsteps or make the mix more bass heavy, just really whatever you want, which is the great thing about having software to hop into.
hey Caleb, could you give me your opinion about the 2019 steel series 5 headset?
nice video
Greetings from Mexico
I have never used it so will have to look into it some more but cant really give you my personal opinion without having tested it. I have used SteelSeries headsets before though and have always thoroughly enjoyed them.
I fucking love my gpro x but got bored so I’m getting the black sharks I’ll check back in with my opinion on which I think is better by next week
Great quality content , liked and subbed 👍🏾
@Yousef Alsammarraie honestly the gpro x is really good for that and even better if you use it on pc
But I use these headphones for gaming listening to music and mixing music and it works perfectly for all that
With the gpro I can accurately pin point footstep direction in any game
The sound stage is really good and the guns sound good too
I’ll let u know once I get the black sharks I’m buying those today
@Yousef Alsammarraie hey brother, checking back in
So , so far . I think I’m returning these and keeping my gpros
I just feel that the gpro build quality and mic is way better than the razor , tho if I didn’t already spend 50$ more I would have went with these instead because they are cheaper and the difference is negligible
If your on a budget , razed Blackhawk is the way to go ,
But if you have the extra cash , get the gpro x , The wireless ones are more expensive but for a reason , hope this helped with your decision
@@MelElPuente I am curious to know the cons you found on the v2 pro that made you return it . I'm currently divided between getting it or the hyper x cloud 2 wireless
@@mohamedkhaled9807 just felt the sound stage is better on my gpro x , I can pinpoint footsteps better and can tell how far by gunshots or explosion sounds
Logetich g pro x if you have the money , especially if your using it on pc ,

Great vid! Next, review the mh752
My opinion is if you play a lot of FPS games, go with the Logitech G Pro X Wireless because none of the other headsets I tried came close to the pinpoint accuracy of sound direction that the Pro X offers.
thank you!
but its also possible to change the eq of the blackshark rightv
But why should the steps be reversed? Could be that u have set up sth wrong or have a bad model, never heard of that issue in other reviews...
Can you share your eq profile in ghub?
@JERICHO740 Can you share your eq profile in ghub?
Great video mate
Thanks!
how can surround sound be bad on logitech g pro x. I read some articled about it and it can be fixed on sound settings. Its about software they said
Quick question here - how do they compare regarding sound insolation from the outside? Love the video btw!
Get Peace Open API to increase volume
What surround sound headset do you recommend?
Great review! Thank you
Thanks for watching! 😀
Very professional videos. Keep it up!
Thank you!
Love from Pakistan. Bro you deserve millions of subscribers ❤❤❤
Is it compatible with the legacy razer synapse software? I don't use the new one
Hows the blackshark v2 vs hyperx cloud 2 ? for music only, I honestly don't care much about gaming but gaming headsets seems to be more affordable so yup...
is the thx spatial audio more for competitive fps games or more immersive story games
@@artemusp1894 Well I got em on october 20th 2020 and I can say theyre still comfortable but youre right the pro x have better materials for sure but that didnt matter to me cuz they uncomfortable af

the blackshark since release and multiple purchases always has an issue with the audio cutting out if the dongle isnt in direct LOS. Pro X is the way to go for me
I'm stuck between Arctis 5 and blackshark v2. 7.1 does not change much for arctis 5. There is information on the internet as balckshark v2 thx has a muddy sound. which one you suggest?
Any idea how you can customize the equalizer to use on the Xbox Series X?
What about their respective wired versions ? Which one is better for FPS games? Also I've heard Logitech offers better sound quality when it comes to the wired version of both headphones
Yes , the wired version is more stable . Logitech need to make V2 of theese whireless headset to be perfect .

Good! 👍
Weird question but with the razer blackshark v2 pro can you game with only one earcup on since the earcup as no swivel? I need to be able to do this since I have a family that relies on me... Thanks in advance!
Hey man, so I have a question. The 3.5mm jack that comes with the Razer, would this allow it to connect to my old xonar essence stx sound card? I know Razer has it's own audio software so I'm just confused if they would conflict with eachother
Why don’t you just give it a shot bro see if it works.

I got the black sharks. I’ve been using them for several months but have switched to other headset (Astro a40 with mix amp). here are my thoughts:
- for competitive FPS like warzone I found astros to have better quality than what I could get with THX spatial audio. I played a lot with EQs
- very comfortable headset, super light snd looks great
- wireless first is kind of annoying - I could be a total idiot but I never figured out how to get spatial audio working in a wired mode.
- mic captures lots of breathing even with cover. Have to remember to put away from mic. Software noise cancelling isn’t the best.
- thx spatial audio settings are strange to configure - you have to configure it through razer synapse and the software isn’t great or sophisticated as Astro command center
Hi, thanks for review. I can't choose between this two. I'm playing on PS and PS4. I need best gaming audio quality and comfort. What do you prefer?

So razer decided mimic basically the HyperX cloud and this is why the clamping force is so small . Even though compared to other headsets I found it to be really really big and kinda bothered me when I first got them . Anyways that means that you can basically hear them for a very long period of time without getting any pain or discomfort so that a plus for razer

I dropped my blackshark on the ground and the wireless capabilities just went out the window and it was a mess trying to setup the wired capabilities with it. Razer's quality has shattered in the last years. I have a mouse I bought when Razer just became popular a long time ago and it still works great and no ishues whatsoever.
However, the last headset I bought from them was such a low-quality build the top cracked in 3 spots after just 6 months of use. Iam not buying razer again for a very long time until they fix their products quality. I am not rich enough to pay 100eur every 6 months for the headset so that their owners get fat dividends each year.

i got the logitech but with cable, i just want to say pro's and con's here to u all. first of all i changed from the fake leather pads to the cloth ones, much more comfortable, but the minus is you hear alot more backround noise , right now i can hear the dryer in the bathroom. the sound is good on wow classic, and discord, but for music and movie its pretty bad in my opinion, and the surround setting is horrible. the adjusting on the side is so loose in my opinion, if you move it on your head or take it off without spreading it, if pulls out from the "setting" you have it on. so i ended up taping it with black electric tape. i maybe sound negavite but all in all i really like the headset. but my gf want the same one so i desided to buy a Razer Blackshark V2 Pro on sale for 130 Euro. and she gets my logitech headset. winwin
I highly recommend avoiding the Pro X's. Been a gamer nerd for more than a decade. If you care about good directional sound and sound whoring etc, these headphones have the sound quality of what I'd expect from a $50 headset. My friend's Arctis 5's sounded much better which is pretty sad since those are like $40 cheaper. Plus imo the comfort on the Pro X's is below average.
