Agreed! I appreciate your thoughtfulness along with your emphasis on construction and style. I sew to be creative. I sew because I want to wear my own style and colors and not someone else’s. I sew for fit (although, this continues to be an adventure 🙃). I watch sewing videos to participate in a like-minded community as well as gain tips and inspiration. Thank you 🌹

Clothes are supposed to fit you, not the opposite ! YES ! I have been sewing for 15 years now, for to reasons : First, I love vintage fashion and colorful clothing, so I can make them. Second, I'm curvy and I can't find clothes that fit my body in stores. Sewing is a massive empowerment and help you accept and even love your body, because you make garments that fit you, comfortable and flattering zt the same time. Because I know the feeling when you're looking for a pair of trousers and any fit, like if you're not in the norm equal you're not worthy.

When my children were small they initiated an intervention. My son demanded to know if I had read them all of which I told him 75%. He let out a heavy sigh. My daughter told me straight on that I needed to stop it immediately!! As it was a fire hazard ;) To this day they still occasionally have quiet concerned talks of giving up my habit.
