Yes it’s true. I have witness relative go from damaged drug victim to graduate from university.
Love it
Wonderful. I’m a former Heroin addict and drug user that is now in college going for my masters. I’m learning piano and Yiddish. The mind is an awesome organ.
Damage of alcohol abuse creeps up on you
This is brilliant! Short and straight forward, perfect!
That's what she said.
Never underestimate neuroplasticity

true,, think about when you swim in the pool for a long time and your hands shrivel wrinkles shrinks 👋that's what booze does to the brain
very nice video i know a couple substance abusers and this gives me hope.
Full normal Brian function is impossible in a society where if u don’t drink you are considered weird or boring this social myth is ruining and ruined brothers sisters fathers and mothers and sm mroe people we love lose themselves jus to fit a social myth normalize not drinking
Thank you 😁
That's natural dehydration what's caused by excessive use of alcohol that's why people drink a lot of water following day after alcohol or drugs use or abuse and it takes time to get water and liquid's back to body.
Listen to it!!
Very nice
Hope for the world also.
I have unspecified cerebral palsy. I need to stay away from drugs and alcohol. No Cannabis, no magic mushroom, and no Zoloft.
Amen
momma didnt raise no quitter
What kind of tests/scans are there if you want to see if you've damaged your brain with alcohol?
I would like to get myself checked but I don't even know where to begin since I don't even know what the tests/scans are called...
Maybe get a CT scan. Make an appointment with a neurologist. Also go to your primary care doctor and get standard blood work done to check your organs.
Functional MRI NOT A REGULAR MRI
Can you repair the damaged brain cells? I ask because my brother used drugs and i feel like hes not all there anymore he cant processs things and under stress he gets nervous and starts to kinda ramble. Im seaching alot here but theres mot much videos on the permanent after effects of using. Im hopefull with maybe vitamins supplements that he could restore his brain function 😢
Does a daily low dose of Adderall (5mg) damage the brain?
Yes and the chemical make up is the exact same thing as cocaine
Is edible is drug
ive been clean over 3 years and my brain's still fucked. Though I was on a low dose of methadone until a year ago which probably impedes healing.
Congratulations on being clean and sober over 3 years!
@Redmaker not great, but I don’t think it’s necessarily related lol
I’ll drink to that
if a baby is born to a couple that drink and do drugs then the baby has a Drug addiction when born and the mother puts a small amount of drugs in the baby bottle so the child will sleep all night, than the couple takes the child to partys with a lot of drugs gets the child high to, long story short, this was what happen to my Husban by his mother and father, as a adult as much as he try to stop from drugs he would for awhile, went to a lot of rehab and only got worst, at the age of 42 he over Dosed and died. so I know that it can depend on how instilled Drugs and drinking are on someone, The Babys born with these addictions and grow up with it, those are the ones that don't make it so very sad to do this to a child!
Sorry for your loss and thankyou for enlightening us
From my findings there's permanent damage that is done.
Go away
Did you test on a person that got truly clean for many years?
Which drugs? They cant all have the same effect
By the way alcohol n drug have totally different impact.
@Venturarecoverycenter
Can It Be Fatatl?….
Not depression.
Ok i know that this is very helpful but you my dear respected video creator it is not called white blood cells they are called neurons
What if you did drug and alcohol abuse for 15 years
Even after many years of use, our brains start healing the minute we put down the drugs and alcohol.
I thought drugs and alcohol permanently damage your brain in some ways.
MrNecryptic An addict will never truly be “normal?” This is absolutely false. You have no basis to this claim and this cannot apply to every drug or alcohol abuser. I hope an addict doesn’t come on UA-cam and read that. There is hope.
Mr Scott right?!
MrNecryptic Sorry but Your experience can’t be everyone else’s
I hope so, after a year of being clear i notice change, i think il need a little bit more time i guess. Fucking years of sometimes usage.
it can only get better. ]
@@littv1610 i hope so, it feels like waking up
@@Aleksaa944 how long did you use for? More than one year? However long you used give yourself that same time clean.

Im glad i didnt used speed that much. 1 year and 7 months since last usage and i feel way better. But still not good as before but better than when i stopped. Drugs are hell in one word. Never again
