- Do you want to know how to kill flying lawn insects quickly? I tested the DynaTrap for nine days and I got some amazing results. This thing kills mosquitoes, gnats, the crane fly which gets mistaken as a mosquito. SO I set two of the dyna traps ups to see if they worked on killing these flying insects and I was amazed. You are correct....I bought one of these Dyna Traps two years ago and was amazed what it caught! I was using a company to spray my yard and was never a fan of this practice. I cancelled this service and bought a Dyna Trap, and believe it or not, it really works! Just don't forget to clean it out about once every two weeks or it will fill up and you'll have to work at cleaning it
I have a boat load of those Crane Flies here in NC. They are so annoying! I’m spraying my yard tomorrow after I scalp my yard.

I work for Amazon and once I walked through this persons lawn to deliver their package, and when Immediately when I stepped onto the lawn about a BILLION of these nasty crane flies flew around me. Safe to say ive never walked through another lawn again

My worst nightmare! I couldn’t even empty one even with those big gauntlet gloves that people wear to fly birds of pray, could hardly watch you doing it, watching through my fingers from behind the sofa!! Lol.

Hey BYD. I put a mouse glue trap inside the one I have. The bugs go in and then stick to the glue trap. Hope this helps you. Be safe.

Mike, I've never found a butterfly or bee in my DynaTrap. Don't see many Crane Flys in my part of Jersey either, they are BIG! Amazon sending my replacement bulb ( I have an older unit, non LED) so will be getting mine back out shortly.

Bermudagrass Central I have the older model. Supposed to replace the Non-LED bulb once a year. It came yesterday so I’ll get it back out this week.

Cornelius Small manufacture says 20-40 ft from where you may be outside. Don’t put near your door or near competing light sources. If it’s not capturing bugs try another location. At my house it’s on corner in front on garage side. The big one is on a Shepard’s hook in the back in the middle of the lawn. Just emptied the small one again just four days later after the initial dumping.
Honestly wish we had this in the UK I've been battling these 5 years, no treatment and no real helpful info how to trap adults either 😭
This seems like a good unit I have crane flies like crazy now BUT I was reading and the bulb only lasts 4 months and from my understanding it's non-replaceable and you have to buy another unit.?

Don Mckinney this is the newest model, says the bulb should last over 2 years. You don’t have to replace the unit just the bulb. The older units do have a shorter bulb 💡 life span.

I put my fertilizer down early to mid March. Now my grass turning yellow in spots what should I do.
You gotta find out why it’s yellowing?, adding fert shouldn’t make it yellow .
It's possible that you put down too much or that you didn't need to add any extra. High nitrogen levels in your soil will burn your grass.

I bought mine off a different site from amazon. After I did my testing I went to Amazon to see if the sold them. Like you I didn’t see the exact ones. Emailed Dynatrap and the said they are different models but they all do the same. ( so why are they different?) their answer was for pricing purposes to major companies. I don’t have any

The one he has is the LED UV light which will last longer then the original UV bulb. Also his is described as a decretive bottom trap instead of the classic cage. I just bought my Dyna trap using his link and i love it. Bulb won't last as long as his but just buy some extra bulbs and be ready to change then when they go bad. The regular uv bulb last about 4 months. The LED will last longer.
