    One note for American English learners:
    Americans do not say "do a burp" "do a course" "do a fart" or "make a loss"
    We would just say "burp" "fart" "take a course" and I'm not sure what "make a loss" means

      Yes, we use the verb form of burp and fart too.

      If you are a student: You do an assignment. (Most common)
      If you are a teacher: You make an assignment. (Or better... prepare/create an assignment)
