In this episode of Deer Season ‘23, we join Mark Drury and Wade Robinson in Northern Missouri.
Wade kicks things off by filling his first Missouri tag on a beautiful 10 point. Following this we dive into the part of the episode that hurts our hearts. "Heartbreaker" if you will. Wade finds his 4th set of locked bucks. Unfortunately two giant Iowa bruisers got locked up and ended up in a pond.
Next, we follow Mark to the deer stand to fill his Iowa doe tag on a pretty fall morning.
Lastly Mark and Darrin are headed back to Missouri to chase a buck he's had 3 years of history with. Better known as "Mr.Daylight" until the 2023 season rolled around. Mark hunted this buck consistently throughout September and October with no luck. Late October we got the cold front we had been waiting for and "Mr.Daylight" stepped out early!

I have to say that y'all really are good people and extremely passionate about hunting and the outdoors. Not many like that on these hunting TV shows now a days.. I also love how much they really care about getting kids into hunting and the outdoors. There's less and less hunters every year and that's not good bc we hunters are the only thing in most of the USA that can really manage deer herds. It's difficult to get any kid outdoors these days let alone get them to go sit in a blind or tree stand for hours without them wanting to go home, but y'all really have a way of getting these kids to fall in love with the outdoors. I hope more people do the same in coming years.

Going out to hunt the rub line this afternoon. Can literally see where he starts and goes right through the woods to the field. There’s about 15-25 rubs in less than 400 yards

If you watch closely right before the first shot the deer twitches his back right where the arrow hits him just seconds before almost like he knew somethin was up🤣

Why did the doe at 3 minutes 08 seconds fade into the background like it was green screened in????
They were looking through a window so it looks kinda weird. Watched it 5 times in slow motion
Filming through a window we get some weird reflections sometimes.

It’s a shame to find those bucks that way. From a positive standpoint, you have closer of what happened to the bucks, but man is nature cruel!
