Just finished the game just in awe at the ending, got every riddler trophy and did everything else. Amazing game.

The best thing is the helicopters signify that an island has been liberated, and as seen theyre all over the map, this means that bruce was likely thinking about whats happening in the video right after completing the story, right before the true knightfall project and probably said: "maybe she is right."

Don’t get me wrong, the dark knight is almost a masterpiece but damn does Rachel suck in that movie. Katie Holmes is and always will be the og.
Rachel was very important for those movies, but for overall Batman media she just doesn’t work. Imagine Rachel in any other batman universe like for example comics, arkham or even batfleck’s universe. It doesn’t work. Batman probably has one of the more fucked up romantic lives. Every time Bruce dates a civilian it never works out and no matter what Bruce wouldn’t quit to be with someone. It’s out of character for most other Batman iterations. Nolan’s Batman I think always knew he couldn’t keep up being Batman forever. He’s more realistic in that way. Most of Batman’s romances are with other costumed people be it Catwoman, even Wonder Woman sometimes or Talia al Ghul and they work for a while cause all of these people could handle themselves if they are in danger. Rachel couldn’t ever do anything and we saw that in Batman Begins and the Dark Knight. The most consistent relationship Batman has is with Catwoman and they are the definition of on and off. The only steady relationship’s batman has is Alfed, The Bat-Family and the Justice League. The Bat-Family lasts because they all understand that he has to be Batman and they understand why he does what he does and accept it. Rachel I think never really understood why Bruce had to keep being Batman and that’s why they couldn’t have ever worked out. Batman is who Bruce actually is and Bruce Wayne is who he pretends to be at least his public persona.

Rachel died thinking Bruce chose to save Harvey over her and she probably thought it was because of this letter. When in reality he tried going after Rachel and Bruce never knew about the letter Rachel wrote.
So in short.
Bruce lives thinking Rachel was going to marry him but was tricked by joker into saving Harvey.
Rachel died thinking Bruce hated her for wanting to marry Harvey instead and she listened to him save the man she loved leaving her to die out of spite.
