Thank God it's Alex from Fitment Industries, welcome back, we missed you
😂🤦🏼♂️
I’m glad my narrow sedan was recognized here, not many people like it but I’m in love with the slick look to it
We are all happy to have you back safe and sound Alex from Fitment Industries.
This couldn't have been a more perfect video for me.
I love this video! So helpful. Thanks I have an 08 wrx
I have an 08 WRX that is basically stock. This past spring I went and got some 17x7.5 with an offset of 40 and run stock tire size of 205/55r17. The fitment is great. The tires have a slight stretch to them and the wheels come right to the edge of the finder well. There is still little gap between the tire and inner wheel well because of the stock suspension, but that's the look I wanted.
Sounds like a dope WRX man! You should upload it to our gallery🙌 bit.ly/2nvMdTF
From a 14 Wrx guy, thank you Alex. Very much. Just like all of your other videos, very helpful. Love what you guys do. Keep up the good work. P.S.....Now i can finally get the correct tires and wheels for my new airlift setup. Much love from Nor Cal.
Not a problem! Glad you found our videos and content useful!
Absolutely. I can honestly say I learn something new, and obviously applicable every time. Since I bought my car a year ago I've kept her stock, since I am a huge noob. Research, research and more research before any money spent. All thanks to you all at fitment I have knowledge and confidence.
This actually helped me a lot. Keep makin these vids!
Glad we can help! 🙏🏼
Truly appreciate this!! Super helpful!!
Thank you. I have a 2012 with 9.5x18 +45 and fitment is dead on. Rocking the wedssport SA-54R BLC2 on a WRB WRX Hatch. (That Blue Light Chrome is unbeatable)
I do need to fix up the fenders, probably roll them due to some rubbing, but it isn't bad.
THIS is a good series idea
needed this video. thanks 🙏
Can you do a video like this one for a 10th gen Honda Civic si please!? awesome content man keep up the great work
Subscribed you guys are the best 👍
Wheels that fit vw like the jettas passat or all vw in general keep up the good work

2014 Subaru wrx on stock suspension

As a Mazda owner I'd love to do that! Great suggestion man! 👍 - Erik

This video is rad. Can we get a FRS/BRZ/GT86 setup next?
Once again great video. Have been on the fence about new wheels. Also any tips on coilovers paired with 18x9.5 wheels?
Depends on your Year, Make, and model man! Have you checked out our gallery to see other cars with coils and those specs for wheels? bit.ly/2Ma4oca
2015-2019 Mustang. This would help a ton!!!
Fricken sick.
You should do a video on the MK7 platform with 17” wheels and some meaty tires.
Soooo helpful! But you didn’t talk about MY09 enough! What tire size would you recommend with an 18x9 +22-30 setup?
Only just found this channel and I’m loving it!
I would do like a 235/ 35 otherwise you can check out our gallery I have a link here that has all vehicles with an 18x9 set ups! bit.ly/2Nyinhc
Would love to see a video like this for my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3. I'm buying a set of 18x8.5 +40 and would like to know what's the most meatiest tire to run without major modifications. I would like to avoid any camber changes. I would consider rolling or pulling fenders but would rather not. 235, 245 or 255 is what I was thinking. Any suggestions would be great. I'm on coilover that have lowered the car about an inch or so already. Thanks for your assistance.
Please do a video on what wheels for the 10th Gen Honda Civic Hatchback
2011 wrx hot boi here. I've run xxr 527s 18x9.75 +20 w/ 225/40s, -5 camber all around, slammed on coils with minimal rub after a roll and slight pull. currently have been rocking enkei RPF1s for a couple years. 18x9.5 +38 w/ 275/35s, -2.5 camber all around, not slammed, but passes the mcm shoe test. Never rubs.
Having run both styles of fitment, I highly recommend going with the meaty fitment with a realistic ride height. Drives so much nicer, no rubbing, much much less scraping, don't have to worry about tires debeading as easily, and you can mash on the twisty roads with no issues. just my 2 cents.
Love the opinion from a subi boi! Your WRX sounds wild you should upload your ride to our gallery! bit.ly/2Ma4oca
Acura Integra DC2/DC4
They ran for 1994-01 so there’s a lot of them out there
PLEASE do this for the 370z!!
Could you guys do a first gen TSX? (04-08)
I have a 2019 wrx on 20X9 +35 offset on stock suspension it looks decent, I live in Chicago so I haven’t lowered it due to snow and potholes lol
Probably a good idea! 😂 I would wait till like late April to slam it. 😂
I remember my first set of high end rims: Advan TCII 17x8.5 et37 on 245/45/17. My goal was to have wide rims and tires, to maximize width. I tried to do as much research as possible. In the end, I got a mean looking RSX-S. However, I still wasn't there. Why? I needed to do more research. I ALMOST got the look that I wanted. Then, with the 2nd set of rims, I knew a lot more. I went with a larger and more aggressive set up: 18x9.0 et25 on 245/40/18. Now, this was the look I was looking for. I thought I knew a lot at this point. However, my ride was harsh because of rubbing, in the rear, so I decreased the pre-load on my coilovers. The ride was abysmal. What I never realized is that I could of just added some negative camber, in the rear... to maybe about -1.8 degrees and I wouldn't rub and my ride would of been close to stock. However, according to the community, that level of camber would be tire eating in no time. I believed the hype. However, I learned that it's not negative camber (as in, out of factory spec but not crazy camber) that eats tire but the toe. Well, I know own an Accord V6 with Advan RZII 19x10.0 et35 in the rear on 275/35/19 tires. I have -3.0 camber and I have 30,000 miles on the tire. No uneven wear. Granted I'm on a Tein coilovers and 3-piece camber kit.
The moral of the story: fitting rims takes a lot of knowledge. Do your research. Alex is throwing a lot knowledge. There are so many variables to consider. To summarize:
1.) Learn about width, offset (+ and - offset), wheel construction, concavity (those Advan or Volks that you like on a website or on a car, well, chances are they have low offsets which mean they come in a more concave face... so when you buy a 18x8.0 et 45 version of TE37's they're not going to look as good as the 18x9.0 et 25 with a lot more concavity).
2.) Know what kind of look you're going for. I love the look of stretched tires. Yes, it looks really good in some cases like 215/40/19 on a 19x9.0 rim. However, like a cheap whore whose going to give a STD, you're going to accumulate a lot of curb rash. Thus, the reason I never go stretched. If I'm spending $3,200.00 on rims, I want to take care of them.
3.) Research the sizes on forums and then research some more.
4.) Chances are that you're going to need to know a lot about the ancillaries to make your rims fit: like available camber kits, coil-overs, rolling fenders, lug nuts (yes, there's a lot to learn about lug nuts), and so forth. All these other components can make impossible fitments possible with ease.
5.) Go back to 1 and start all over again.
Glad we can have an example of trial and error and figuring out what you need to figure out to find that ideal fitment! Love the advise man I hope everyone reads this comment because it is gold! ❤️
The "cheap whore" part had me in stitches 😂
