"Honey, it's been a long time since I was younger!" Your parents are just wonderful! I am so glad to see you doing this with your mom. These are the moments, you will cherish the most.
We all realize that you could’ve kept this private with just you and your mother without taking us along.I need to tell you Adam this vid reminds me of when I did the same thing with my mom many years ago.Walking through past memories with my mom. Thanks for this video.Brought back good memories of my mom and me.👊🏻
I'm so happy he's spending great moments and making memories with his momma. I'm older now and I understand how my mom must have felt. We all need to be needed.
@@sofiabravo1994 I don't think Scott was blaming Adam; he was praising him for taking us along; he didn't have to do it but graciously did. Reread Scott's comment.
So far away from Disney! A good thing! This is Adam The Woo's niche, folks. Real people. Real history. Real Americana! Breath of fresh air!! Thank you so much, Adam!
I loved hearing your mom talk about how often she attend church, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Wednesday evenings. I had this conversation with my grandson a few days ago how I went to chuch 3 times a week. :) He goes to a Christian school, he said he goes to "church" almost everyday. :)
You did it again Adam! I smiled, cried and laughed so much through all the episodes with your dad. Now again with your mama. Treasured memories stay forever ❤️ Just loving these road trips. Thanks for sharing them with us. Safe travels. Bless xxx
Wow. Not gonna lie, I got choked up with this video. Your mom is such a beautiful lady, inside and out. I'm so glad you are able to spend quality time with her and learn about her past. I know you are definitely cherishing this time with her. Sadly, my mom passed back in 2008. She would have been 74 this year. It's cool that your mom and my mom both graduated high school in '66, and you and I are the same age!
Love this. As you get older, not knowing how much longer you may be here, nostalgia takes over. It's always nice to revisit your stomping grounds back in the day. I'm so happy for your parents to have been able to go back in time, thanks to you giving them the opportunity. I would catalog these jaunts with them together for your own use. Great memories.
I think it's so important to talk to the elders and document their stories. Really enjoyed your own ' history' tour. One can really appreciate the changes we continue to go thru.
Went by my Dad's hometown back in October, wish he was still around to tell me about it... Had not been there since 1968... Enjoy your folks man, make sure to learn the family history before that generation is gone, like my Dad's family...fortunately we did... Knowing where you came from helps let you find out why you are the way you are.
My Dad was born in 1920 in Ironwood Michigan, which at that time was a bustling mining town of 25,000 in the U.P. WW2 took him away from their and he never went back to live there after the war ended. I did hear lots of stories about that area though and him growing up through the depression with 6 brothers and sisters. Dad passed away here in Georgia, where I also live , in 2008. I made a trip up to Ironwood this past summer. The population is a little less then 5,000 now and really the area is just returning to pre-civilization wilderness. The tiny house he grew up in is still there! Visited the local historical society located in the old train depot and learned a lot about the town and in one display case they had a group picture of the 1938 graduating class of Dad's high school and he was pictured in it! Like you I wish he'd have been there with me. The thing is, none of his siblings or his parents stayed there. They all either moved to lower Michigan during the war for better paying jobs or went into the services and never moved back, and Ironwood is not a place you'd ever just pass through going from point a to b. If you ever find yourself there it is because that was your destination, so I hadn't ever seen it. We did find my great grandparents grave site.
Very wise words James. Whatever your history was (good and bad parts) cherish that which is good, learn from the bad, do better and - PASS IT ON. Those not rooted in their generations are easily manipulated and used by politicians, and cranks.
Love the road trips with your parents 😁 always good bringing back happy memories for the both of you, since watching your trip with your dad I've spent more time with mine and getting some more family history 🙂
That’s fantastic that your grandparents land is still owned by family! That’s a pretty church where your parents married. The conversation you had about anniversaries makes me think back to one of your Dad’s videos he filmed on their anniversary that was so unexpectedly clever and perfect. It was 1/2 video and 1/2 photo montage and part of the photo montage was your mom standing next to a cannon at Castillo de San Marcos with the tag “my beautiful bride… the love of my life… standing beside her favorite cannon” 💕💕 Too sweet those two!!! Cherish every moment!
Adam, I absolutely loved today’s video. Made me emotional thinking about my family and when I was younger. Your mom is a treasure and you will never forget those moments. Thank you for allowing us to be apart of your life and your family. Great content that can’t be beat… thank you ☺️
The walking is paying off, I notice a difference. Aww, I love grandpa's work clothes still hung up. The cemetery scene is priceless. One day we will be standing there looking down at our parents and the cycle will continue.
This was a precious ride down the memory lane of your Mom, thank you for that! Nice ending with happy roosters being able to see their world from above lol
I know you understand how blessed you are to still have your mom. I loved this video!!!! My mom was born in 1917 and passed in 2003. She would be 105 next month. Treasure the time you have with your beautiful mom.
Thank you for including all of us in your special emotional day that was very nice of you and I am glad you go to know more about your mom more and how she grew up
I love these types of road trips you have done with your parents. I'm glad you had the opportunity to do this with you Mom after sort of doing this with your Dad.
Always enjoy your Mom and Dad when they are with you. Your parents are so nice. You are truly blessed Adam!! I love how you call her Mama,my oldest Son calls me Mama too. Cherish the days with your family! Thank you for what you do!!
Adam, I have been watching your videos for ages. I really have enjoyed your travels around this wonderful country. I honestly have to say, this video, as well as your video on the trip with your father is something special. These videos show the true character you possess, and the love you have for your family. God Bless, keep up this outstanding work!
That was a nice little trip down memory lane. I'm so happy you've had the opportunity to document these treasured memories for posterity. You'll be glad you did.
So glad that you got to go with your mom to where she grew up. I am sure that your mom will cherish this time and sharing with you about her life. Safe travels Mr. Adam and mom Woo.
I used to love to drive my mom to some of her old haunts and hear her stories. At one time she lived in New Orleans and rode a streetcar to school.... so I took her there and rode the streetcar together. Good times.
Now, that was a day you will never forget, Adam. What a lovely experience sharing these memories and times with your lovely Mom. This roadtrip was such a great idea.👏🤗🌞
Don’t think I’ve ever commented on one of your videos, but had to tell you how much I loved this. What an amazing experience for you both. You had this time with your dad and now with your mom. You are a good son.
Thank you for sharing this emotional day with us. After losing my dad last year, I have learned that you only get one opportunity to learn all you can about your parents younger days, where they came from, who they were, how and where they lived. Listen to their stories as much as you can because when they leave this place, all you have is memories. Take care.
I am so glad you are documenting all of this, Adam. You said you had never been through these places before. This is great to have documented for yourself and your family. It's also nice for those of us who follow you and your journeys to learn some of your family history and nostalgia. I'm someone who appreciates this type of stuff very much, so I enjoy it when you delve into your own nostalgia, and your parent's nostalgia, and share it with us. These have all been great videos so far with this new series since the new year and I'm really enjoying it. All the local history from each place you are visiting is very valuable to have documented. Especially if one day the construction and landscape for each place ends up changing one day. It will be great to bring up these videos and see what an area looked like before the changes. Keep doing what you are doing. These are all wonderful to save for posterity. Stay safe and safe journeys to you and your mom.
Seeing your grandpa’s truck reminds me of my dad’s old truck, which we’ve kept since he passed December of 2019. Pulling up to my mom’s house now, seeing the truck, makes me almost expect to see him coming out of the garage. Good job Adam, making these memories with your parents. I am sure they love getting to be with you.
Adam I love these trips with your parents. They take me back to a time when I did the same thing with my dad. Only in rural West Virginia. It was back in the vhs/c days. It meant so much to him. To me seeing where he grew up, perticularly the very small elementary school, sticks in my mind. Keep it up, I'll keep watching.
Loving these memories, so special!! Thank you Adam and your Mom for sharing them!! Your memories bring back mine!!! We are expecting a bunch of snow in N.J this weekend!! Also thanks for the sound of the chickens!!
So very glad you're doing this road trip with your mom. You'll always have this to look back on someday. Thanks for sharing this with us! Happy trails Adam and to your mom too! Safe travels.
Thank you Adam for sharing this with us. This was so nice to get to see where your mama grew up and telling us about her life as a girl. It's always nice to get to go back and reminisce. Very sweet video. Love it !! ❤
I appreciate the way you edit. You never over-edit... the pauses... the quiet moments... the thinking aloud. All of the things that are part of real conversations. It is what makes us feel like we're there.
How fun to take a trip down memory lane. It’s always bittersweet ❤️ It’s nice you are discovering more about your Mom. I guess they don’t tell us everything! Once again you are awesome! I Love the Chickens !! 🐓
I have noticed that you often seem to be drawn to those old classic Ford trucks when you see them out and about. After seeing your Grandpa’s truck… and knowing that he was an Auto mechanic… I can maybe understand why. Those are great old trucks and that appreciation for classic cars and trucks lives on with you. 🙂 Great video Adam and thanks so much for sharing. Tell your sweet Mom and Dad hi from us. They are truly wonderful.
Was lucky to grow up about 100 miles west of Martinsville, and had a similar close relationship with my great-grandparents and grandparents when I was young. From the family homeplace, the old F100, hand-built auto garage, the additions to the trailer, and socializing at Hardees... lot's of similarities. Undoubtedly why you're so relatable to so many of us followers. Thanks to you and your mom for sharing your family memories!
Your mother is a precious lady! There'll come a day, you'll cherish this trip and be thankful she was able to re-visit places from her youth. Thanks for taking us along.
Such a GREAT vlog with your Mom. Brings back my youthful memories with my grandparents in a small Southeastern town in Kansas. We can lose everything in life, but our fond memories are with us forever...they are a doorway to our soul. Ha...when you spoke about kids walking 2 miles to school in the snow? OMG You talked about the “blow horn” above the garage in a previous vlog. That is truly amazing to see that. Might have even been your dad that said it. Amazing.
Oh my gosh this made me cry. I would love to be able to visit my Grandma’s home oh the memories. I love that the property is still owned by family and you could explore. Your parents are treasures. Thank you and your Mom. I look forward every morning to your adventures.

Thanks for this! My dad was from Martinsville and my mom from Bassett. It was nice to see some of the area again as it's been years since I've been there.
What a great video again. Cherish these road trips and time spent with your parents, you'll always remember these trips, and with the videos you'll have great memories. Keep up the good work
Awwww! We went back to my hubby’s home town in NC, and visited their house, high schools, church where they got married, and church where his dad was a minister - The Alliance Church. Years ago I got to go back to PA for my moms funeral, and we drove around with my dad, going to the different towns, houses, churches m, etc, and my brother recorded him as he talked about it. Was the coolest thing ever!
"Honey, it's been a long time since I was younger!" Your parents are just wonderful! I am so glad to see you doing this with your mom. These are the moments, you will cherish the most.

True but Adam seems to have bonded with his audience and don’t blame him wanting to share a part of his past with us. It was wholesome.

Thank you it’s been fun
I second that

10 out of 10 on this one Adam! These are the kinds of videos where you become more than just a UA-camr. Just becomes more real. Thanks! 👍
Your relationship with your parents is so great. This trip will bring a whole new set of memories.

What a great video again. Cherish these road trips and time spent with your parents, you'll always remember these trips, and with the videos you'll have great memories. Keep up the good work
This is simply Adam at his best. Watching him reflect on his life is just gold. I think it touches something all of us share in common.
Thanks for sharing ! Very fascinating , ADAM !
Thanks for sharing the family stuff with us, Adam. Really cool.
Wow, exploring family history is often a fascinating experience. Thanks for sharing.
