Carolina Tony is awesome 😎 Adam love to see when you connect with other YTubers and locals 👍🏽 This was another great video. Stay safe and drink well 🤣 Justin Scarred voice
I'm sorry but this is so, SO much better than Disney 24/7!! I love how Adam interacts more with the locals now (or at least shows it) more so than on earlier videos. Thoroughly enjoying this! Thank you Adam! Be mindful of the weather and be safe out there!
Tony spoke what I was thinking saying "there's no graffiti." There's no graffiti or trash in the streets in all the locations you have visited. Very refreshing!
Everyday a surprise, Tony and Bob two really nice gents, the church was stunning, and the coffee shop was amazing, who knows what tomorrow will bring on these daily adventures Thankyou Adam, even you sound surprised at what your coming across
Cool story on the glass tiles above the coffee-shop front windows: These are used mainly on old store fronts and date back to before electric lights. They have sawtooth ridges on one side to refract light to the back of stores. Many stores had gas lights (before electricity service) but they were a huge fire danger. Called "luxfer" tiles, they were introduced in the late 1800's and were popular until electric lighting became available. Originally a colorless glass, they have since turned a shade of purple due to their manganese having been exposed to sunlight. Though rare, you can find individual for sale (eBay is a popular source). I've acquired about 50 of these tiles and have been incorporating them into stained glass windows that I make.
This was so cool…. It made it even better that the gentleman/local was able to take u guys around. It makes u appreciate just how much info and history exists all around this country if we just took the time to listen and look around us. Incredible. Carolina Tony was awesome!
I understand why you are fascinated with all of these older relics of the past…you see the value in everything. I am the same way. This South Carolina girl loves these videos, Adam! Keep up the great work, and continue to share this with all of us. We appreciate it and YOU!!!
I'm sorry but I had to laugh my butt off when Adam not only meets a local but gets driven around and a personal tour! Only you, Adam. You are one of a kind and I love ya! lol
3D wall painting of the horses is something I have not seen others do. Adam, as you walked closer to them we could see they had been painted using the effects I have seen by sidewalk painters that makes it look like canyons and such. Very cool 😎
Carolina Tony, what a nice guy. Loved hearing about the history of Ridgeway. The church was so beautiful inside. Nice to hear from some of the folks that live there. Great video Adam! Always great to tag along and appreciate you sharing! 👍
Loved Bob smoking his stogie. I really like that you are finding locals to talk to. They are a wealth of knowledge. Adam you just get better and better. I lost it with the telephone booth! History is out there just got to find it! Thank you
This was AMAZING, the church, the hardware store, the coffee shop, the police station with well, the quirky places in between and all the little side informations! Gosh i sooooo love what you do Adam... waiting each day for your new uploads, you are giving me great happiness, thank you!
@@alianningson3829 yeah me too! Well he was lucky to meet Bob that had the key to this amazing church and that the hardware store is still in operation since 1840 WOW!
The telephone booth brings back so many memories from my childhood!! Such fun to meet Carolinia Tony and Bob!! Love hearing their stories!! Happy Sunday Adam!!
Do you remember how they always had gap at the bottom so that when people dropped their change it would roll off of the slab? As kids we would kick the dirt around the edges and always find quarters and dimes.
I loved how they saved things like the phone booth and cash register and that old church was beautiful! Great that you ran into an original local to show you around!
The train tri-horse mural was very distinctive and definitely had a 3-D effect. Very well done. Thankfully there are still locales in America not yet affected and destroyed by "tagging" and other now ubiquitous urban graffiti garbage. And a thank you to Bob.
I'm so happy for you! Look at all the kind and informative people you meet! You're really seeing the world in a way others don't and I'm trying to appreciate all the smaller things as well. = )
Adam, your reactions to things like non-working telephone booths just fills me with delight! Your love of these relics to a better way of life, so much simpler, quieter and more vivid amazes me! Have you been this way your entire life? I’d love to sit down with your mom and dad to ask them! And you interact with folks who start up conversations that inevitably turn into “guided tours” - it comes so naturally to you, my friend! Anvil rock is there because that’s where it was born, silly! Maybe it regenerates the graffiti away - it could happen. 😁 Whoever painted that train/horse mural is VERY talented and yes, it IS a 3D effect! Fabulous job! Thanks to Carolina Tony for his help and humor! LOVE the last Nicholson impression!!!
Have you every thought of shopping your back road travels to CBS Sunday Morning? They could put it in from time to time the way they do Him Gaffigan and some of the editorials they do. Charles Kuralt did it On this station.
I really enjoy the travels through the small town. It was so nice having Carolina Tony traveling along with you. The cameo visit by Bob was so nice. The stained glass in the church is so pretty. I love how they are keeping up that church. For me, the appearance of the phone booth meant a lot. It was like a visit from my dad. He passed away 14 years ago. He worked for Western Electric back in the 1960's. One of the jobs he had there was constructing phone booths! You don't see many phone booths now days.

I'm in Georgia on Sunday. Yep it's coming and it's 🥶 cold. Stay safe and warm. These men remind me of a couple little towns my family lived in. Alabama and Georgia where they lived forever and yell across the street to talk. ❤
Ridgeway and Winnsboro SC is my hometown as a child growing up on a farm. You should visit Bylthewood, Great Falls and Lancaster, SC, as well Rock Hill, SC. We are going to move from the city and make our home in a small town. My husband is from the east coast (Pennsylvania) and I'm from California (we met when he was in the Air Force) and we've been living in big cities since we got married. Thanks to your videos, we've been looking at small towns/villages to relocate to. I visited South Carolina a few years back and was entranced by the state. So your delightful videos help in seeing some of these towns that I didn't get a chance to see while visiting my friend who lived near the Charleston. My husband has a large family who mostly live on the east coast, he has a cousin who lives in Florida and a brother who lives in West Virginia. He'll be happy to be in a part of the country where we can visit family members more easily. I'm looking forward to living in an area that has less heat (we live in Phoenix). While there is more humidity, there is more green (I love the oaks around SC) and less desert. 🙂
Ok, now you are getting into my old stomping grounds! I was born and raised in York County and growing up made numerous "road trips" with my Dad down to the Ridgeway and Winnsboro area looking for farm equipment for sale. One of my cousins taught in Winnsboro for many years as did my oldest daughter during her student teacher days.

Hi Adam the Woo & Carolina Tony. What a great vlog. That was really nice of the local gentleman to take you guys around. Neat little town. Glad we joined the 2 of you. I would have to agree about the rotating rock, it's a meth. Love the trains.
I like the architecture of the Ridgeway church and how the interior sort of echoes Norwegian design. You guys discovered some really cool places. 24:54 ...and bears. Oh my!
Lol, the drive thru ATM reminds me of the first time that I visited America. I was in Ohio visiting family and I was amazed by it in 1994 😆 Fantastic steam train and horses mural 👍

So glad you made it to Ridgeway! I just love this little town! ❤️ Every September there is a 50 mile yard sale called the Big Grab that runs from Ridgeway to Blythewood. Talk about fun & meeting all walks of people! Thanks so much for sharing this one, Adam!

Never got to travel a lot- finally got a chance a few years back- then covid- my kids and I loved to travel to small towns -and since I do not get to do that now- i look forward to watching you do it for me- the next best thing- so thank you for helping those of us who miss seeing these hidden treasures in our country. I can’t wait everyday to get my chores done around the house so I can sit and watch your videos-sure makes me happy!
Oh my!
That third shoe had to drop sometime.
Lol, the drive thru ATM reminds me of the first time that I visited America. I was in Ohio visiting family and I was amazed by it in 1994 😆
Fantastic steam train and horses mural 👍
I love this program its so interesting.
Thank you. Love the telephone antique.
Hahaaa..Carolina Tony nailed it..🕶👍👍cool that the local guy BoB was around way cool of him, very knowledgeable, really enjoying these Woo, the rock looks like something that would fall on Wild E. Coyote.
Yes! Makes you look around for the Roadrunner!
Totally a roadrunner rock
Woo.... these type of video's with people helping you around town giving information on the area are very good video's....
So glad you made it to Ridgeway! I just love this little town! ❤️ Every September there is a 50 mile yard sale called the Big Grab that runs from Ridgeway to Blythewood. Talk about fun & meeting all walks of people! Thanks so much for sharing this one, Adam!
