I did it. Made good grades and passed boards on first try. Had a wife and child to support at the time while attending Nursing School.
Strong work Christopher!
Full time or part time?
Part time or full time degree ???
Im soo damn scared im starting n july i went parttime
I just started with a 9 month old and my wife my lil family. Working full-time too. I'm trying to get myself mentally ready.
This guy puts me to sleep, his voice is soothing. I have literally binge watched his videos while working nights trying to figure out my move with starting nursing school and working. And his advice is gold! 👏 can do it!
😂
I needed this. I am moving out soon. I am a CNA at my local nursing home, so I have a good start at a nursing career but I'm super nervous about being able to pay rent/bills while also going to nursing school. This was a great video I really appreciate what you're doing!!!
You are so welcome!
This is great advice. Im starting nursing school in May full time M-Thursday 9-5 with clinicals on Fridays. (16 month accelerated program)and i was just hired full time as a PCT at nights. 3 day 12 hr shifts.
Thank you. Good luck in your nursing program. It's going to be a tough journey but it will be worth it at the end.
I have 3 kids and I’m working full time as a cna I can’t stop working because I have bills to pay. I really need to start doing my class for my pre requisites. I need to get my shit together
How is it going and does where you work pay for school?
Starting in January and I am scared. I am married with a child and I work full time at a hospital. I can’t even find the words to explain my anxiety lol. The things I have been hearing about it and the fact that my job is giving me a hard time with accommodations.
Me too u got it
This is really good advice I’m have a hard time in school but as a cna it’s vary flexible job
FINALLY. Nursing school from someone that has a similar background as I do!!
Excellent video, thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge on this topic!
Glad you found it helpful.
thank you for this. I feel a little better about it. I am trying to work and go to school its difficult but not working is just not an option for me
I have no husband, and I have 1 child I support. I wk 55 hrs a wk as a unit secretary with a very..... flexible schedule 😊at a large hospital. Im only required to wk 2 days a wk. I'm concerned about my study time, however. I got my business degree online with a much busy schedule years ago, and my kids were younger. I believe I can do it I just require a lot of study time.
I did it. WhenI went to LVN school I worked double weekends as a medication aide and have 8 kids, I came out at the top of the class as the valedictorian. It sucked and yes it was hard, but it was only for a small amount of time. I’m currently in the bridge program and working a FT 2-10 job until I start clinicals, then I will go back to double weekends. Again It sucks but you have to do what you have to do!
Congrats on getting it done.
What is a bridge program? Is it similar to an accelerated program?
@@makeupbytoya797 it’s when you already have a nurse license (LVN), and you go back for another year to get your RN. Most schools have this option.
Do you have any digital calendar recommendations besides google calander?
Thank you for this video, crazy how many ppl (almost all of them females) talk about how they didn’t work while in the program… fuck outta here ladies grown ass men don’t have nobody coming in to let us down for a year while we go thru this program. (Clearly these YT vids pissed me off lol)
Doing this right now
Hang in there.
You got this 🙂
How is it going for you?
I wish I had the determination to finish nursing school 😢
Is there anything specific holding you back?
👍🏾
There isn't a lot of part time nursing programs that will allow me to work full time. I can't afford to work less. I am looking into other options. I have a degree already where I can do an accelerated nursing program. They are just to expensive and won't allow me to work full time as well. I just have myself . I am not married where I can depend on a man to take care of everything. Just saying. I don't have any dependents. I still haven't found a lot of nursing programs that are catered to people who are actually working full time. I don't have my RN either so applying to an RN-BSN program isn't an option for me either. I live in Texas by the way.@ NurseMoneyTalk
I know some people that still work full time and go into an accelerated program if they are able to, I am doing it right now, it’s tough but can definitely be done, despite the school telling you not to work full time
@@slevy523 thank you I’m attending a community college here in Texas. And I’m working towards getting into an LVN weekend/night program.
@@kaylahood1000 yea I work nights, it is honestly the best way in my opinion, especially if the work is less or you get a lot of downtime
@@kaylahood1000 what’s the community college that offer night LVN class? I can’t find any!!
That’s what the program said to me. But you can work full time or close to full time and study on weekends a lot & before work when you can. Ask for evening classes & weekend classes when you don’t have work. I am doing the same thing! We can do it!
