Great stuff Tim - You highlighted all the challenges in buying from antique shops - the never changing booths that are never changing for a reason - the prices, the faded tags on very old overpriced inventory, and the faux sales with marked up prices. Despite all of that, I still enjoy shopping them. For my booths, even if the inventory isn't dramatically changing, we at least try to rearrange things to give a fresh look. We price to move like you do too.
I spotted a clear, with gold trim, Jeannette "Thumbprint" set, at 4:21. I have that set in the "Shell Pink". There was a Consolidated Glass miniature oil lamp, at 12:22, that caught my eye. I have a couple of their "Cosmos" mini lamps. Right now, I have so many old kerosene lamps I wouldn't want to count them. As long as they haven't been monkied with - (converted to electricity) - I do have a thing...too much of a thing...with the old kerosene lamps 😂 The old kerosene lamps are kind of like the beverage sets, for me. As of right now, I have 62 antique and vintage beverage sets 😳😁 All of the available real estate, for any more, has been exhausted...I think 😉🙃
I caught one place in Las Vegas that triples the price before putting their 50% off sign...and they're still way over eBay prices... This applies to a third of the store... They have the Cds/other media at affordable prices and they only have 25% off on them...if seasonal 75%... If they didn't do this discount on media...they wouldn't have buyers... Six months ago he asked me if I could buy his slow sellers (Classical/Opera/Christmas) and I took him up on the offer... I was thinking $600 right on the spot and never told him... He told me I could have all of them for $225 and I'll handle the ones you reject... I'm still sorting through the 106 boxes... I left two classical artists one opera (Carmen) and one horrible singer of Christmas music...behind...

Educational field trip!! Thanks for all the tips!! 😊
Thanks for watching!!!
I will have to take a day and ramble through one our many antique malls
Yes, you should definitely do that!
Antique malls here in Phoenix seem to be mainly storage for collector. Put prices that maybe a few pieces sell and your rent is covered.
Yea it happens!

Rearranging is key, and I love an antique mall even if I’m not buying. Fun to look and learn!
