  • See some nice improvements on test loop 2 under easy conditions. Very light cross traffic.

Polished 12.4 could really get 5 - 10x less disengagements. I wonder if it takes 6 releases like 12.3.

Elon was crafty in using the term "interventions" and not "disengagements". He seems to combine them. 5x+ is very doable if for no other reason than the quicker decisions by FSD will minimize the need to use the accelerator pedal at intersections. Most people intervene far more than disengage.

@@edhill8568 FSD 12.4.1 still has a *very* *long* road ahead. It still cannot do the most basic things on the road:
signs: DO NOT ENTER or ROAD CLOSED
potholes or broken glass in the street
reacting to Police or Ambulance with sirens
FSD cannot go in reverse. omg
does not slow consistently for speed bumps
      often in the wrong Lane
      exiting a parking structure
      unprotected left turns are inconsistent

@@DerekDavis213 When I first got FSD in 2021 there were well over 100 things it couldn't do and it was a train wreck. Fast forward to today and the list is very small. I don't disagree with your open items but Tesla has already confirmed they are adding reverse. When you down to a handful of items I fully expect they will be addressed fairly soon. I rarely have disengagements now and for the most part every drive would reach it's destination safely without disengagements. Could FSD be smoother of course, but comparing 2021 to today I'm optimistic. I haven't had a critical safety disengagement on the highway in months and that's before the highway stack goes to v12. (Boston area) Are you a pessimist by nature?

@@edhill8568 DerekDavis ignores everything that is positive about FSD. He's trolling. People told him a hundred times already everything you told him.

@@edhill8568 _Tesla has already confirmed they are adding reverse_
And that 'confirmation' is worthless, when we see how many untrue claims are made by them:
Soon, FSD drives from LA to New York
      1 million Robotaxis in 2020
12.4.1 will have 10x fewer interventions

12.4.1 has been out to employees and early testers for awhile now. You're probably thinking of 12.4.2 which went out only to Tesla employees a couple of days ago.

This video was made on a Saturday, when traffic is light.
How about doing this test loop Monday thru Friday, in the morning or afternoon when traffic is heaviest ?
