Some common misconceptions about damage types: "Royal Arms do typeless/holy damage." No they don't. Royal Arms do physical damage and have their own separate weapon affinity, that is simply not shown in any of the enemy stat screens. Most enemies have no Royal Arm affinity, but there are exceptions as always. "Omega has 99% resistance to all weapons, but only 20% thunder resistance. I'll use a thunder sword." That's not how it works. Like I mentioned in the video, affinities stack multiplicatively and you can have multiple of them at once. With a thunder sword, your damage is first reduced by 99% thanks to sword affinity and then reduced again by 20% thanks to thunder affinity. It's also good to really take to heart that magic/physical don't directly have anything to do with affinity modifiers. Fire damage, for example, can be physical or magical, nothing is strictly tying it to either damage type. In a sense, there is no "fire damage" in FFXV. There's just physical/magical/typeless damage that may or may not have fire *affinity.* Trouble finding players in Comrades? Want to play with me or other Comrades lifers? Great to see you making videos again =D And such an informative one at that! I heard about the 99 vs 100 % affinity thing once ago somewhere else, but I never thought is so deeply connected with each other, Holy Hell... I actually deinstalled Final Fantasy XV and everything that came with it from my PS4 after doing and getting everything, believing I would never touch this game again. Loved it, but I need something new. Now you post video, I inhaled new information and instantly want to reinstall and play it! THanks man xD
Hi was wondering if you could Clarify Something for regarding Immunity Piercing... I Have the Immortal Aeiges Shield with Deathproof, However I am still being insta killed by Zu. Does the Shield have to be the active weapon for deathproof to work? Or does Zu don't give a flying ***** and pierce through it? - Whats the point of the abillity if it does not work? Many Thanks
Immunity piercing is only a mechanic for elemental damage, it doesn't have anything to do with status effects (which Instant Death is) The reason Zu is killing you isn't because it applies Instant Death, but because it deals like a million plus one damage. You need to mega stack vitality to live through its beak attacks and stomps, but honestly, it's better to just stay away from its feet in general.
@@asetoniffxv22 well I've been following alot of them are so in depth. I bought my pc just to mod this game. I was so excited about the level editor and all. If I come across anything big or make any kind of progress I'll let you know. I plan to change up the game someway somehow.
99% damage resist sometimes giving you more actual damage resist than 100% is the most FF15 thing I've ever seen.
I love this game lol.

@@asetoniffxv22 Ok That makes sense, Many Thanks
Does the Double Penetrator X still work, or was it patched? Cheers
@@benjaminsisko4519 Anytime! Double Penetrator X still works.
Many Thanks. I Originally played on Xbox, Now replaying on PS5 and trying to get All the Trophies.
You should try to aim at modding this game man. Or at least try. I want to bring this game back as much as I'm sure the diehard fans do
Unfortunately, I don't have a PC powerful enough to run FFXV, even if I knew anything about modding.
