WEITER SO UND 73, DG 5 MJ, Matthias

Why do you think it takes a huge investment? Free CAD CAM software Fusion for personal use. A 400 euro Chinese cutter ($ 432) and an old Windows XP PC 100 Euro (110 $). The biggest investment is passion and study. See you soon

I like to mention for the negative people that with a file, a hacksaw and a drill you can do the same.

That's how life works. Even a hacksaw, file, and drill cost more than a free junked hard drive.
Like those woodworking shows where he makes a table from free lumber from an old barn, using his $250,000 shop full of tools.
Most of this you could do reasonably well with a Dremel, bandsaw, and a selection of hand tools.

@@ricciottodelmarchese8557 - I get the same kind of comments before on a couple of my builds, and I don't have any C&C stuff lol. Just a troll that doesn’t realize that most people with tools acquire them over time and in a lot of cases used. I like to build my own stuff because it's fun, and usually cheaper lol. Very nice key btw. I'm learning code and studying to take my technician and general later this month.

Nice idea to centre it bearingless with the magnet. But how does that work with the aluminium paddle or do i miss something?
What is the little practise oscillator for this paddle? Is it homebuild also? If yes do you got the schematic or a link?

Hi, in the aluminum scoop, at the bottom, I inserted a small metal plate. I use the button for CWCOM here you can find the instructions to build the oscillator. www.meteocomino.it/telegrafistiwebitaliani/2020/04/01/collegare-il-tasto-utilizzando-un-mouse/ Regards

That is not an Iambic key although it looks very nice. On an Iambic key the 2 paddles are independent. They are also known as a squeeze key. When you squeeze the 2 paddles together it alternates between dit and dah..

I’m curious, are magnets frequently used for keys? If not, does this one differs also for its magnetic spring?
