Hi Matt Day, can you make a video comparing the photos you get from the SL2 and SL2-S. Specifically comparing the colour profile of portrait photos (colour science)
I thought i would ask you something, i have a sl3 and every time i switch af lens to m lens I loose all camera settings is it normal? Thanks for your reply
Hi. I'm currently thinking of upgrading from the SL to the SL2-S. Wanted to know how's the colour to the SL2-S model compared to the original? Thank you.
@@ApostolosNikolaidis1 I wish I had them side by side. Also, I haven't had the SL2-S long enough to confidently answer your question. I need more time to shoot more portraits, for example. Then I can better judge skin tones. But the responsiveness and AF are in another league compared to the SL.
@@HatefYaminiOnline thank you, I appreciate it. I can make s quick assumption that probably there is not that much of a difference regarding colour, which is a good thing. Thanks again.
I have Leica SL2-S for one month. It is my intention to get SL2-S not SL2. The resolution of SL2-S is perfect for my work flow and I prefer low light performance. Even these 2 models sell at the same price, I definitely buy SL2-S with no doubt. It is just fitted perfectly to my work.
Great short review Matt…I have been looking at this camera for a while and enough is enough. I purchased one today! Should complement my M7 well…Be safe man! Cheers.
Great little video! I hope you can get your hands on one of those fancy new 35mm APO-Summicron-M's soon, you being Mr. 35mm Summicron yourself. I know you shoot almost only B&W on your M6, but I would love to see what you would do with that amazing new lens on all of your Leicas.
I do own a original SL and thinking to get me a Gfx100s or a SL2S. What I think is not an improvement that they got rid of the 4 buttons around the display, I think they are great as they all have that double functions. Is that still the case with the SL2S?
Hey Matt, if you had to keep one, would you go SL2-S? I was an early adopter of a Q when they first came out, absolutely LOVE the camera. Had an A7RIII, that I sold for a A7III for more of a hybrid camera. Sony is fully capable, but damn I hate the process of using a Sony. I’m looking to drop the A7III for a hybrid Leica. Between the SL2 and SL2-S. Thanks for the content!!
I really loved the video Matt! I hope you reply, how well does the SL2-S work for you when for example the bride is walking a bit fast in a wedding situation?
Hey Matt! I'm selling my GFX 50s and switching over to the SL2 system to pair with my Q2, but now I"m kind of stuck with the SL2-S low light capabilities. As a wedding photographer, do you think I'll notice a major difference from the GFX 50s to the SL2-S? I feel like i'm better off going w/ the SL2 and having the same sensor as the q2 but not sure if that low-light capabilities is the way to go. Any advice?
Great video, happy you're happy with it. Just want to note I noticed some weird effects on the brick background around 7:00. I think it may be a interlacing/de-interlacing issue/fix? In 1080 the video is showing me subtle faint transparent squares flickering across the background. Not a big deal! Otherwise very tidy video to watch as always.
You’re another enthusiast. So, this is my dream cam. I left my LUMIX and Sony for this trash box. I am on my 13th hour mark since the purchase of SL2-s. Convince me not to return this. Battery life… what’s that. I last longer in bed. Wtf.
Agree with you, the battery life and cost it’s ridiculous lol and you think whenever created this camera probably never went for for proper video shoot ever.
