This video includes the real airplane sound....not made up in the studio but that's the way they really sounded back then...amazing work...fantastic video thank you so much!!!
My first flight was onboard a United Airlines DC8-61 in "Friend -Ship" livery from Friendship airport in Baltimore (BWI now) to San Francisco in summer of 1973. My lifelong love of aviation began the minute those JT3D-3B's went to full throttle. Thanks for another great video my friend, good stuff indeed. 👍 👍
The sound, the GLORIOUS sound of REAL airliners!! What a way to end the video capturing a Delta DC-8 in its first jet livery design pouring smoke, BEAUTIFUL smoke out of those turbos!!
Love the old liveries of Delta, TWA, United, and American. Each airline's livery was unique. Today's livery designs are very boresome and common by comparison. I do miss those days back then.
Terrific, vintage O'Hare Field footage! Also, nice job editing appropriate airliner engine sounds such as for the Capital and UAL Viscounts and especially that Trans Canada Airlines Vickers Vanguard.
Video is not very clear, but I think from what my 70 years old eyes saw the only airlines left today from this bunch are United, and Delta, I believe Capitol actually merged with United, and Trans Canada became Air Canada. I never knew why United ever purchased the Viscount from the Brits as they also purchased the Caravelle from Sud Aviation? Political correctness back then ?
just an awesome collection of so many different types of aircraft!😊
Beautiful
