Step By Step | KALLAX Shelf Unit IKEA Tutorial

In this tutorial, I'll be showing you step by step on how to assemble the Kallax shelf unit from IKEA. This IKEA shelf unit should take you around half an hour to an hour to finish. This shelf unit from IKEA shouldn't be too tricky to build but if you need some help, this video will guide you along with step by step instructions.

thanks. great video. I was curious as to what i'm in for. Need to do this but also modifiy it by adding a top and possibly some reinforcement so i wanted an idea of how it's put together so i can brainstorm on other ways to make it stronger. Thanks a lot.

Hi thank you so much for the video but after assembly I noticed that I had a dowel left should I take the unit apart to see if I missed a hole

If you followed these steps then you should be good. IKEA sometimes leaves you with an extra dowel just in case

It's probably optional, you would only anchor it to wall if you have toddlers that may climb on them.

Nope. It's perfectly fine and you can easily skip forward. It's not that hard to hit the forward arrow on your keyboard and skip forward.
