Thank you for this - i also brought wood glue to make sure it doesnt wobble because im using mine as a kitchen island. This assembling helps.

I have four of these shelving units in my home. They're great.
One bit of advice: It is always wise to wear SHOES when working with any type of assembly. Flip flops are not adequate protection against a careless drop of a large piece. They are not made of lightweight styrofoam.

Two of my wooden dowels broke in the hole they wouldn’t go all the way down at all they just snapped off with little to no pressure put on them

Salut. Parlez dans la langue avec laquelle vous êtes à l’aise. Pour les pièces en plastique et en métal. C'est pour fixer KALLAX au mur, et c'est nécessaire s'il y a des enfants dans la maison, si non c'est pas la peine. Pour mieux comprendre regarde la nouvelle vidéo de kallax sur ma chaine. Do you think it's important to attach it to the wall? I ordered one for my daughter's nursery. The only problem is the skirting board along the bottom of the walls are in the way so the kalax won't sit flush against the wall.
The answer is yes, fixing to the wall is essentially a safety device for children. so that he does not fall over them, even if it is on the ground. for KALLAX you can add legs which are sold at IKEA. good luck

If you bought another would you be able to stack them without fear or anything breaking?
I just assembly another one. easily
I would just get a larger size rather than stack them. If you did want to stack for some reason, like if only smaller ones were in stock, I would definitely screw them together in multiple places

2:51 is where I get stuck... I'm having trouble getting the brown piece to go through the vertical slate. I assume it has to go through the vertical slate to connect to the horizontal slate, right?

you have to use it as I did. if not, you will find it more difficult to fit it into the other base board. use the hammer 🔨 with a little force.
The little wooden pins won’t go all the way in on mine.

It is posible to let 1 stand without shelf? I mean letting all 1 x 1 blocks and letting one of them 1 x 2
in my opinion it is possible. but it must be in the upper part.

for that opening yes. at Ikea most all bins and baskets say "fits Kallax"
Great video! I just bought this unit and was dreading putting it together. Seemed pretty easy. I plan on putting a 4 cube unit above this one. Did not buy the 12 cube unit because it would not fit in my car. I am assuming it would be ok as long as you attach them to the wall. This seem ok to you? Thanks again for a very informative video!

I have a Toyota Corolla 4 door sedan and the 4x3 fits inside my car with alot of extra space, u have to put down ur back seat so it can slide in through the trunk

Had it laying side ways with a 40inch TV and filled the slots with shoes and its sturdy. Definitely worth buying.

Usually they give one more. And if they don't, buy one or make it at the carpenter. If it is still stuck, insert a screw and pull it out

The product description says it can take up to 25kgs of weight on the top, the dimensions are 77x147 cm

i think you assembled the last piece wrong. you see those two holes really close together? thats for mounting it against the wall.
you put one side up and the other side down. it's hard to see because of the resolution of the video. at 3:57 when you show it to the camera.
