A great conductor. Have many recordings of his.
He lived in the San Remo, the famous building on CPW. I lived in a building which faced the rear of his building. I saw him many times waiting for a car to pick him up. I always said hello to him and always got a warm smile and wave in return. He was a superlative musician who brought the Met to new artistic heights.
That’s cool !
It still remains astonishing how this immensely gifted conductor was able to exercise such supreme control over the orchestras he conducted and yet had so little self-control that he gave in so frequently to all his sexual urges and was even prepared to engage in illegality while doing so.
Creshhhhendo, Charlie.

Levine died in ignominy on March 9th, 2021 - Disgraced and unrepentant.
So complicated 😩...
Do you put this comment on all Levine videos?
@@snortedthelot7429 what do you want me to say 😩
@@Sacha_Kudli I actually meant the other guy...
Loser #Metoo bot. Drop dead. Levine was undone by reactionary fanatics whose downfall can't come soon enough. As with so many other artists since 2017, proof of these allegations isn't even necessary anymore and they are tried and convicted in the court of public opinion on the basis of suspicion alone.
